Through the use of Application Programming interfaces (APIs), third-party financial service providers can access the information efficiently and cost effectively thus enabling the development of innovative FinTech solutions. The purpose of this document is to clarify in details the NBB Open Banking application, starting from the registration, linking new accounts, managing linked account and the deregistration process supported by screenshots of each step provided to insure the processes clearness. 3 Download Open Banking Mobile Application In order to start using open banking you need to download NBB Open Banking Mobile Application, it is available in both App Store and Play Store. Store URL App Store (IOS) https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nbb-open- banking/id1470796141 Play Store (Android) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=c om.nbb.openbanking&hl=en Search for “NBB Open Banking” in the store and download the Application. 4 Registration: After opening the OB application, user clicks on “Register” button on the home page. 1. User accepts the terms and conditions and clicks on “Proceed”. 5 2. User logs in to the mobile application using internet banking credentials. 3. User chooses the preferred second factor authentication method if enabled. In case the user chooses OTP, the user clicks on “Generate OTP”. 6 4. The user enters the OTP sent to his mobile number and click “Next”. 5. User confirms the Fingerprint / Face ID / IRIS / PIN / Pattern. 7 6. User is registered successfully and a popup message will display to the customer “Account linked successfully”. 8 Unlinking Accounts 1. User navigates to the “Accounts” page using the side menu. 2. User clicks on the “Edit” option located in the top right corner. 9 3. User clicks on the edit icon next to the Account name/Card number. 4. User clicks on the “Unlink” button. 10 Updating Linked Accounts: 1. User navigates to the “Accounts” page using the side menu. 2. User clicks on the “Link New Accounts” Button. 11 3. User logs in to the mobile application using internet banking credentials. 1. User chooses the preferred second factor authentication method if enabled. In case the user chooses OTP, the user clicks on “Generate OTP”. 12 4. The user enters the OTP sent to his mobile number and click “Next”. 5. User confirms the Fingerprint / Face ID / IRIS / PIN / Pattern. 13 6. Accounts are linked successfully and a popup message will display to the customer “Account linked successfully”. 14 Deregistration: 1. User navigates to the “Deregister” page using the side menu. 2. User clicks on the “Proceed” button. 15 3. User logs in to the mobile application using internet banking credentials. 4. User chooses the preferred second factor authentication method if enabled. In case the user chooses OTP, the user clicks on “Generate OTP”. 16 5. The user enters the OTP sent to his mobile number and click “Next”. 6. User confirms the Fingerprint / Face ID / IRIS / PIN / Pattern. 17 7. User deregistration in done, a pop up message will display to the user “Deregistration is successful” 18 Connecting to Open Banking Aggregator 1- In order to access and use open banking aggregator, user logs in to Retail Internet Banking / Mobile Banking by entering the Username and Password. 2- User chooses the preferred second factor authentication method if enabled. In case the user chooses OTP, the user clicks on “Generate OTP”. 19 3- The user enters the OTP sent to his mobile number and click “Next”. 4- After Login, the user clicks on “Open Banking” from the side menu 20 5- If the customer already downloaded and registered in the OB mobile app, the only pending action is Add Account, users clicks on “Add Account” 21 22 Connect NBB Account 1- User click on “Connect Banks” 2- User chooses “National Bank of Bahrain” and clicks “Connect Now” 23 3- A new tab will open and a notification will be sent to the users mobile to select the Accounts and cards to have access and approve the request. 24 4- User confirms Biometric 5- The system will synchronize the data and display the linked accounts and cards. 25 26 Connect BISB Accounts Open Banking Registration 1- User opens BISB Mobile App and logs in with his credentials 2- User Navigates through the side menu to Open Banking -> Activate Open Banking 3- User will accept the “Terms & Conditions” and clicks on “Accept Terms” 27 4- User will authenticate himself using biometric (Fingerprint, Face ID) 5- User enters his/her CPR and clicks on Next 28 6- User will receive an “OTP” on the registered mobile number. 7- Customer chooses the accounts to be linked as well and click Link Accounts 29 8- The user is successfully registered in the open Banking Aggregator Linking 1- User chooses Bahrain Islamic Bank from the drop-down menu 30 2- User will get the below pop up page and will receive a notification from BISB 3- User will choose the accounts to be linked and click on Approve 31 Connect BBK Accounts Aggregator Linking 1- User will choose Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait from the drop-down list 2- A pop-up page will appear, user clicks on continue 3- User enters the CPR and password and clicks on Confirm 4- User receives an OTP on the registered mobile number, and click on confirm 32 5- User chooses the accounts to be aggregated and click on Confirm, the account will be aggregated. 33 Connect Ithmaar Bank Accounts Aggregator Linking 1- User will choose Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait from the drop-down list 2- A pop-up page will appear, user clicks on continue 3- User enters the Username and Password and clicks on Confirm 34 4- User receives an OTP on the registered
