Trekking 5 days

Day 1: Huarez

We arrive at the city of Huaraz (3.100m) and check into our hotel. After breakfast we start walking towards the Churup lagoon (4.450m), to acclimatize to the altitude. The rest of the day is free to prepare our camping equipment for the trek Llanganuco - Santa Cruz. We will spend the night in a hotel in Huaraz.

Day 2: Huarez - Garganta de Paria

We drive from Huaraz to Vaquería, which is at an altitude of 3,850m. From there we walk for approximately 3 hours to the Garganta de Paria (3,810 m).

Day 3: Paria Gorge - Taullipampa

Today we wander from Paria Gorge (3.810m) to Taullipampa (4.250m). On the way we conquered the Punta Unión Pass (4.750m), where we admired the exceptional view of the mountains of the .

Day 4: Taullipampa - Llama Corral

We start our trip from Taullipampa (4.250m) to Llama Corral (3.760m). Along the way, we bypass the Jatuncocha (3,900m) and Ichiccocha (3,850m) lagoons. During the trip we also see the mountains Quitaraju, , Pucahirca, Taullipampa, , Santa Cruz and many more.

Day 5: Llama Corral - Huarez

From Llama Corral (3.760m) we start our trip to Cashpampa. The descent takes place next to the Santa Cruz ravine and takes between 3 and 4 hours. Later we will take you to the hotel in Huaraz. At this point our trekking trip above the three peaks Churup, Llanganuco and Santa Cruz finishes. We hope you enjoyed the trip and return home with many unforgettable memories and experiences.

What to bring:

- Trekking Shoes

- Trekking Clothes

- Hat or cap, preferably wide-brimmed, sunglasses, and sun cream

- Swimwear

- Flashlight with spare batteries

- Water and chocolate, candy or other snacks

During sunny conditions, you will probably consume approximately 1/2 liter of water per hour: therefore, it is recommended to carry approximately 1.5 liters of water during the trek. We also recommend that you bring chocolates, sweets and something salty (to replace the minerals lost through sweating). You can buy water and snacks in all the towns we pass through during this hike, as well as sometimes on the canyon trail.
