Daily prelims begin at 9 a.m. PDT, followed by nightly finals at 6 p.m. PDT, and each day. This meet serves as the qualifier for the U.S. team in the pool competition at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships, which run from Aug. 9-12 in Tokyo. The winner of each Olympic event will claim an automatic spot on the roster, and a complete team selection procedure is outlined at usaswimming.org. The combined results of the Phillips 66 National Championships and the Pan Pacific Championships will determine the roster for the 2019 FINA World Championships. NBC Sports will provide extensive daily broadcast coverage of Phillips 66 Nationals across NBC, NBC Sports Network and the Olympic Channel. Daily prelims will be streamed live via usaswimming.org. USA Swimming will produce Deck Pass Live segments following each prelim and finals session and will debut a unique preview show live from the expanded fan zone. The shows will stream free of charge on usaswimming.org and via Facebook Live. The 2018 Phillips 66 National Championships is part of the 2018 Team USA Summer Champions Series, presented by Xfinity.
