Imagine...

… life beside the seaside.

With its commanding seaside position its not surprising that Penarth’s history has long been linked to the water.

From the smugglers that used Flat Holm island as a base in yesteryear to busy Penarth Docks, the sea has shaped the town’s fortunes.

Victorian times saw establishment of the Penarth Boat Club (which soon became the Penarth Yacht Club) in a building at the southern end of the Esplanade – where it remains to this day.

More recently there has been the development of Penarth Quays Marina in the historic Penarth Docks basins. In one of the most sheltered locations within Cardiff Bay, the marina provides the perfect moorings for boats of all shapes and sizes.

At the heart of the seafront is Beachcliff. Built in 1904, the iconic landmark originally housed private hotels and eateries to cater for visitors using the newly opened rail service to Penarth.

Now, lovingly restored with painstaking attention to detail, Beachcliff is revitalised – and has become the ultimate in luxury living. Imagine calling Beachcliff home ...life doesn’t get much better than this!
