The annual gala dinner will be held November 6, 2010, at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. “The theme for this year’s Black Tie Dinner is ‘Stand Strong.’ That’s a perfect way to describe what our 2010 Beneficiaries do each and every day,” said Co-Chair Ron Guillard. “Each of these deserving organizations stands strong as they work tirelessly to provide hope for their clients and constituents.” The local organizations were selected by the Black Tie Dinner Board of Directors, through a detailed examination and rating process. The application questions focus on the financial and organizational health and stability of the applicant. Each organization is also evaluated on their service to the North Texas GLBT community, including the quality and impact of programs, services and activities. Co-Chair Nan Arnold added, “Our 2010 Beneficiaries are a major inspiration to the entire community, including everyone involved with Black Tie Dinner. We’re proud that, through Black Tie Dinner, individuals and our sponsors support these organizations that provide so much to the North Texas GLBT community.” BLACK TIE DINNER, INC. 3878 OAK LAWN SUITE 100-B #321 DALLAS, TEXAS 75219 972-733-9200 WWW.BLACKTIE.ORG The 2010 Black Tie Dinner beneficiaries are: Human Rights Campaign Foundation (national beneficiary) AIDS Arms AIDS Interfaith Network AIDS Outreach Center AIDS Resources of Rural TX AIDS Services Dallas Celebration Community Church Congregation Beth El Binah Equality Texas Foundation Health Services of North Texas Home for the Holidays Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund Legacy Counseling Legal Hospice of Texas Northaven United Methodist Church Resource Center Dallas The Women’s Chorus of Dallas Turtle Creek Chorale White Rock Friends Youth First Texas About Black Tie Dinner Black Tie Dinner, Inc. is a non-profit organization that raises funds for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender supportive organizations through a premier event of empowerment, education and entertainment in partnership with the community.
