What: Champions Day is a FREE Golf event featuring Paul Azinger, the 2008 U.S. Captain and 1993 PGA Championship Winner. Paul will spend the day with residents from The Villages sharing entertaining stories and insights from his new book, Cracking the Code. The book will be available for sale and personalized autographs. It outlines leadership strategies for building winning teams in sports, business and life. Paul will also provide some tips on the driving range to help improve your game. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to demo clubs and gloves from Paul’s corporate sponsors – Bionic Gloves and Adams.

 This is a FREE event! There is limited space for participants!  16 residents will win one Bionic Glove and two VIP seats for each clinic.  To attend you must REGISTER ONLINE at www.golfthevillages.com.  No need to print any registration card. Names will be checked upon entrance into the event.  Bionic and Adams Demo Day 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., with a 10% off discount on any clubs purchased.  Those participants who buy $500 + of equipment receive a free golf Certificate for every $500 (some restrictions apply, see shop for details)

Biography

Paul Azinger served as captain of the 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup team, leading the team to its first win over the Europeans since 1999. He was also a member of four Ryder Cup teams (1989, 1991, 1993, and 2002), has won 14 professional golf championships, including the 1993 PGA Championship, and was 1987 PGA Player of the Year. Shortly after the 1993 Ryder Cup, Azinger was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in his right shoulder. His first book, Zinger, tells the story of his fight against cancer. Azinger went on to overcome cancer and win the 2000 . He and his wife, Toni, live in Bradenton, Florida, and have two daughters, Josie Lynn and Sarah Jean, and son-in-law, Tim.
