Living Lakes Network Living Lakes is an international network and partnership whose mission is to enhance the protection, restoration and rehabilitation of lakes, wetlands, other freshwater bodies of the world and their catchment areas. At the moment 112 members belong to the network. Living lakes is coordinated by the Global Nature Fund.
Together with the German Forum on Environment and Development we celebrate the World Wetlands Day 2021 – Wetlands and Water with the online Event Threatened Lake Areas announcing the Pantanal as this years ‘Threatened Lake of the Year’. You’ll also learn about Wetland Albufera in Valencia, Spain and get an impression of the Global Lakes Marathon, an inspiring 24 hours online-Event around the globe.
