We got to know the train conductors on the 5:55am train a little too well, not to mention exactly how many layers of lycra were required so as not to freeze in the snow. The selection process for the rowers was based mainly on 2k times and seat racing. Over the trialling period an initial squad of 60+ was whittled down to 31, and the final crews were announced just a few weeks before the race. After months of (tasting) blood, sweat, and plenty of tears we made it to the start line at Henley. The weather was amazing, and hopes high for all the Cambridge crews. However, it wasn’t to be for the Cambridge Blue boat and women lightweights. Reunion Dinner 2010: Save the Date

Preparations are now well underway to revive the annual MBC reunion dinner. Held on the Friday of May Bumps, the dinner is a wonderful time to visit college, enjoy a good meal with old friends, and make some new ones! Saturday can then be spent enjoying all the action on the river from the comfort of the FoMBC Marquee on Ditton Fields, widely held as the best Mays marquee in Cambridge!

The dinner will take place in the new Cripps Court Gallery in Magdalene, on Friday 11th June. This year the dinner will also be open to partners and friends of MBC Alumni and we would love to see as many of you there as possible. Exact details will be publicised in the coming months, but in the meantime, save the date!
