Year-By-Year At Mercyhurst Schaetzle, a career offensive coach, guided the Lakers to an average of 32.8 points per game in 2013, just shy of the program record of 33.5 set in 2012. The Year Overall Conference offense also fi nished second in the PSAC in rushing average (237.8), trailing only 2002 2-9 1-9 (GLIAC) Bloomsburg in that category. Against Gannon, the Lakers broke a 27-year-old 2003 5-6 4-6 (GLIAC) program record by racking up 628 yards of total offense, including 407 on the 2004 4-7 4-6 (GLIAC) ground, in a 51-21 win over the Golden Knights. The 407 rushing yards were the 2005 3-7 3-7 (GLIAC) third-highest total in school history, but the largest total since becoming a Division 2006 3-7 3-7 (GLIAC)
