GENERAL ADVISING: Please check your Bronco Direct Portal to see which Advisor you’ve been assigned. If there isn’t an Advisor assigned you may choose any Advisor, or if you wish to change your Advisor you may do so at any time. Please email the Psychology Department at [email protected] and [email protected] to us know whom you’ve chosen and your portal will be updated. In most cases, it is not necessary to make an appointment, just contact them during their scheduled office hours.

OFFICE HOURS: Office hours are posted for Faculty Advisors and Part-Time Lecturers on our website http://www.cpp.edu/~class/psychology.This list is usually complete after the first week of the term.

ADVISING HOLDS: If you have an advising hold because of a low GPA (below 2.2.), you need to up a discussion with a Faculty Advisor and fill out the Academic Advising Worksheet which can be accessed online at https://www.cpp.edu/class/psychology/student-resources/student- forms.shtml .

Open to All PSYCHOLOGY Majors LOWELL OVERTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIP FRED MEEKER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of these awards is to assist outstanding majors to complete their degrees. The requirements are as follows: • Must have completed a minimum of 60 semester units by the end of Spring Semester • Must be a full time undergraduate student • Must not be graduating before March • Must have completed lower division major requirements by the end of Spring Semester • Must have made some progress in completing upper division requirements in the Psychology major by the end of the Spring Semester • Must have a minimum 3.00 Overall GPA at the end of the Fall Semester • Only one application form is required to be considered for any of the departmental scholarships. Students are only eligible to be awarded one scholarship • Only one letter of recommendation from a Cal Poly Pomona faculty member is required to be considered for any of the departmental scholarships. “M.S. DEGREE PROGRAM”

The Psychology Department offers a Master of Science degree program in psychology. The purpose of the Master of Science program in psychology is to provide students with coursework and the foundation in pre- degree supervised practice in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). The program will prepare students for eventual MFT licensure. This, in turn, will prepare them for a variety of counseling jobs, from counselor positions in industrial programs to marriage and family therapy in clinic settings and private practice.
