Band: Tesla (USA) Genre: Hard Rock Label: Frontiers Records Albumtitle: Simplicity Duration: 1:05:01 Releasedate: 06.06.2014

The guys of Tesla are reporting back with their new album "Simplicity". This LP is the 7th studio album of the company since 1986 by now.

I have to admit that only the name of the band was a term for Hard Rock and the good old 80's to me. Maybe because bands such as "Alice Cooper", "" and so on became more popular and were more represented in the media.

As I was listening to "Simplicity", I was keened in a positive way.

Again at least an album, which concerns me musically and convinces inside of the Hard Rock section. The voice of shouter Jeff is fine rough, likewise expressive and one of their trademarks. I am happy to not hear a band with a release, which is not only rippling in a smooth and soft way, especially concerning the vocals. The fraction of axe knows their craft and have a knack for clipped rocking riffs and also using the acoustic guitar specific and skillfully. Also the solos and interludes are pure Rock'n'Roll.

The short but fine deposits of the piano inserts seamless and consistent inside of each of the tracks. The whole production is impeccable mixed and done forceful. I couldn't find any real weak track on the LP and I am fascinated of the variety for each track. Tesla knows how to mesmerize me and how to make catchy chorus' which directly floating into my old rocker veines. When listening to this album I directly feel like to be travelling back in time, in a musically way which not so much releases can accomplish.

Conclusion: All of you, who would like to feel that certain flair of the wild 80's in 2014 should definitely buy "Simplicity". Even today Tesla can create an opus which has the charm of colleagues like "Guns'n'Roses", "Aerosmith" and similar great bands of the old days. A succeeded album with genuine , which also includes cool ballades. With over an hour the listener gets a qualitative outstanding range of songs. Definitely a highlight of this year. This is how real Hard Rock should sound!
