AM26307PU-N Monoclonal Antibody to TIMD4 - Purified

Alternate names: T-cell immunoglobulin and domain-containing 4, T-cell membrane protein 4, TIM-4, TIM4, TIMD-4 Quantity: 0.1 mg Concentration: 0.1 mg/ml Background: TIMD-4 is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, containing one Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. TIMD-4 is expressed in Mac1+ cells in spleen, lymph nodes and fetal liver. TIMD-4 binds apoptotic cells by recognizing phosphatidylserine via its immunoglobulin domain. TIMD-4 in fibroblasts enhanced their ability to engulf apoptotic cells. TIMD-4 is involved in regulating T-cell proliferation and lymphotoxin signaling. TIMD-4 and TIMD-1 are phosphatidylserine receptors for the engulfment of apoptotic cells, and are also involved in intracellular signaling in which exosomes are involved. Uniprot ID: Q6U7R4 NCBI: NP_848874.3 GeneID: 276891 Host / Isotype: Hamster / IgG Clone: Kat5-18 Immunogen: Mouse peritoneal cells Format: State: Liquid purified 0.2 µm filtered purified Ig fraction Buffer System: PBS Stabilizers: 0.1% bovine serum albumin Applications: Flow cytometry: The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Functional assays: Blocks the engulfment of apoptotic cells by thymic . Immunoassays. Immunoflourescence. Does not work in Immunohoistochemistry on frozen and paraffin sections or Western blot. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Specificity: The monoclonal antibody Kat5-18 recognizes T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain containing molecule (TIMD-4, also called TIM-4). Species Reactivity: Tested: Mouse Storage: Store at 2 - 8 °C. Shelf life: one year from despatch. General Readings: 1. Miyanishi M, Tada K, Koike M, Uchiyama Y, Kitamura T, Nagata S.
