Dog Reporter, Charlie Paris [email protected] The family unit has changed many times through the ages. Ranging from large families with 10 or 15 children to the modern family of 4 children and less.

The modern family of Mum, Dad and the Children is called a Nuclear family. The family that has Mum, Dad, Children and other close family members are called an Extended Family.

I was thinking that’s great but it doesn’t explain my family, or other families I know.

Let me break it down for you. In my family it’s Mum, Dad and Me, and if we have to count them, the two cats. That would make it a Nuclear family but for one thing, I Ex-Coober Pedian David, holding Molly - with admirers have my dog dad, my two legged dad, I have aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, my grandmothers, cousins.
