In February of 2013, officially dedicated the Gene W. Ray Center for Racer Basketball. Through the generous gifts of Dr. Ray and his wife Taffin, the Morgan and Suiter families, Jim Thomas and his daughter Beth Williams, Proud To Be A Racer Publications and CFSB, the project became a reality one year after ground was broken. The new facility will be a great resource for Murray State Basketball as it has office space for both the MSU women’s and men’s teams and features a full-size basketball court and six baskets. Total space in the facility measures 180,000 square feet and features an open feel with ground-to-ceiling windows along the entire front of the building. The court area was also designed to let natural light filter in. The Hall of Champions will also be located in the building. Pinnacle Inc. (Benton, Ky.) was the general contractor. 15 15 NCAA Appearances - 23 OVC Championships - 27 Consecutive Winning Seasons 2014-15 Murray State Basketball MURRAY STATE BASKETBALL FACILITIES

As the Racers’ home since 1998, the CFSB Center has proven to be one of the toughest places in college basketball for opponents to visit. MSU starts the 2014-15 season with an overall mark of 196-33 (.852) in 16 seasons. MSU is 68-8 (.894) in the last five seasons and 40-6 (.869) in the Steve Prohm era. The CFSB Center was completed in June of 1998. The first game in the arena was a 65-62 win (Nov. 14, 1998) over Southern Illinois. The CFSB Center is a popular destination for the people of the Purchase Area of western Kentucky as it also hosts annual events that include high school basketball playoffs, concerts, trade shows and Murray State commencements. 17 15 NCAA Appearances - 23 OVC Championships - 27 Consecutive Winning Seasons 2014-15 Murray State Basketball MURRAY STATE BASKETBALL FACILITIES

No matter if it’s muscle-building off-season workouts, or in-season maintenance workouts, the Racers have the best place to accomplish all of their goals. The room features free weights, machines and treadmills, and is used extensively by MSU Basketball. In the summer of 2013, David Land joined MSU Athletics as strength and conditioning coach and is making a big impact on the MSU Basketball program.
