Vasantha Sai The Sacred Nadis: SRI SATHYA SAI BABA and SRI VASANTHA SAI

(excerpts from the book)

AGASTHYA MAHA NADI

Date: 26 November 1998 Place: Anantapur Reading of Sri Vasantha Sai

She, like Andal wants to merge with God. Parvathi asks Lord Shiva “Will it happen”? “Yes, she will merge with an Avatar by the name of Sai Baba. She has no more births,” replies Lord Shiva. Her previous birth name was Radha, born during the time of the Pandavas. She loved Lord Sri Krishna. She attempted to attain Him. In that birth, as some desires were unfulfilled she has taken this birth. In the previous birth, she prayed, “If I were to be born again, I should merge with Lord Sri Krishna” – this was the boon she wanted. Therefore, she is now born again and will merge with Sri Krishna with this body itself. Sukar Agasthya Nadi Date: 4 April 1999 and on 30 April 1999 Place: Chennai Reading of Sri Vasantha Sai

People will worship Amma as guru and as the Maha Shakthi Avatar. Amma will have the powers to control the five elements and Nature. By the grace of Bhagavan Sathya Sai and by the blessings of great yogis, sadhus and sanyasis, Amma will get liberated from this world in a strange, wonderful and unheard of manner. In the presence of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, great yogis, sadhus and sanyasis, Amma’s body will get transformed into jyothi and merge with Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Agasthya Nadi Date: 5 February 2008 Place: Vaideeshwarankoil, Tamil Nadu Reading of Sri Vasantha Sai It is Baba’s command that she has to live amidst the common people, realize their problems and after giving them succour, then she will become divine. In her past birth, she had acquired half the power of Krishna and showered grace. She lives the life of ordinary human with the purpose of preaching what human life is and how even after getting married, one can attain God.

1 She alone possesses the power to alter the accounts prepared by lord Yamadharma, (lord of Death). Even if she were to leave the earth, her name, form and power will reign till the disintegration of this world. Even though she had lived with her husband Manoharan, she might have lived with the feeling of having lived with God; for it was Baba who was in the form of Manoharan. As Baba lived with her in the form of Manoharan, her thoughts did not waver. She knows that she lived with God. Baba was with her in the form of Manoharan in her young age. This is known to this divine lady. Her husband Manoharan also knew. However, others do not know. The fact of her having lived with God will be known on her 71st birthday. She was Radha in her previous birth. In this birth, she will be the ‘Divine Wife’ of Baba. Those who do not go to temples normally, will come and worship her believing she has come to the world for the good of humanity. Sage Agasthya concludes this palm text by saying that he regrets for having ventured to write the Jnana Kaandam of this Divine Incarnation.

Agasthya Suka Nadi Date: 5-6 March 2008 Place: Palani Reading of Sri Vasantha Sai

No human being is her guru. Like Baba, her birth is also self-willed. Baba Himself has taken birth as her. Even today, those who are of divine or spiritual mind will see Baba’s light in her form. Those who thirst for God, possessing a divine mind can see the aura of Baba in her form. When her husband was alive, the wisdom remained within her heart only. After the demise of her husband, it started getting revealed. Instead of her name Vasantha, the name of Baba would be more appropriate for her. Even today, she will possess all the qualities of self-confidence; courage like that of a man. She is a woman of strong conviction who can achieve her goal by her own sadhana. Baba will function fully from her physical form. From 70th year to beginning of 71st year, her form will undergo change and Baba’s form will be visible on her face. Her eyes will change ‘to the eyes’ of Baba. From her 72nd year, it will be known that she is the purest incarnated form of Baba. She will be known as Vasantha Sai Ram combining her name and that of Baba. Even though she is God, she will live the life of an ordinary human till her end. Professing herself to be simple, she will live with the ordinary people. All the Gods would visit her place and offer their blessings. All her disciples would stand by her at all times. She will announce her death in advance.

2 Chapter 1

Amendments

People do not believe what is written in the nadis. Most of them think that Swami has left His body. They ask, ‘How is it possible He will return again? It is against nature!’ For this reason, I was very afraid and asked Swami about in meditation. 25 January 2012 Meditation Vasantha : Swami, I am afraid as people do not believe what is written in the nadis. Swami : You have written before about the artist who places his picture in a common area, wanting to know the opinion of others. He writes asking all to mark the place where they see any fault. All come and put marks all over the picture. The next day the artist asks all to mark a place on the picture they like. Again the picture is filled with dots. This shows the goat like nature of people, where one goes all follow. Why are you afraid? You can never make a mistake. Your hand is in Mine. You can never slip or fall down. Vasantha : Okay Swami, now I understand. End of meditation

Swami asked me to see the nadis and publish them in a book. Yet, there are some who do not believe in them. ‘Swami has left the world. His story has come to an end’. This is what they think. How many people has Swami saved from death? Did He not bring Walter Cowan back to life? There is nothing in this world He cannot do. He has shown this through many incidents. Still, people refuse to believe. Did no one contemplate and stop to think, ‘How and why did this greatest of become unwell, get an illness, go to hospital and leave His body? Why did it happen?’ Has anyone contemplated in this way? Did no one think to go and see Swami’s Nadi? Did anyone go to the Himalayas, ask the great saints and sages there what happened to Swami? Has anyone thought in this way? No! This is because no one has been as deeply affected in their heart and mind as I was. I alone cried more tears, wailing, my body shaking. It was like the experience of being on one’s death bed! It was Swami who then wrote that SV (the trustee of Mukthi Nilayam) should go and see the nadis. It was only after seeing them that a little calm returned to me. I have written all truths that Swami has revealed to me. These are things so far unknown to the world. Death can never come to God. This Avatar is not like ordinary human beings who are born and die. They are never born and never die. The Rama Avatar was not born through parents. He was born

3 through divine payasam brought by the devas. He also did not die like an ordinary man, but entered the Sarayu River and disappeared. Mother Sita was self-formed and born from the earth. She too was not born to parents. She also left and disappeared back in the earth.

Mother Earth takes Sita as Rama, Luv and Kush look on.

Sri Krishna was also not born to parents. He was born from light. At the end of His life, He disappeared in the earth. His body was not placed in a samadhi, it disappeared by itself. What about Radha, the Hladhini Shakthi of Krishna? She too was not born through human beings. The feelings of Sita and Rama were roaming in Space. Lord Shiva and Mother Parvathi gave form to these feelings. This form was the female child Radha. Radha was then given to Vrishabhanu, who brought up the child as his daughter. Radha left the world on the lap of God. She left with Krishna’s darshan, sparshan and sambashan. Now, let us see about Sathya Sai Baba. Swami was also not born to His parents, but through Pravesham, entering as light. It was the same for me; I entered the womb of my mother as a light. If this is so, how can Swami’s end be like this? No Avatar has left the world in this way before! How can He? All has happened for the task of the Avatar. Swami comes again to show that He is not the body. He cannot be placed inside a samadhi. In my last moments, my body will become a jyothi and merge in Swami’s body. Swami will enter the Chitravathi River and disappear. Here, the sacred Ganges called Chitravathi unites with His God; the one who was separated from Him when it descended to earth. The source of Akash Ganga are the feet of Mahavishnu. From the feet, it descends to earth. The hands of Mahalakshmi hold the feet of Mahavishnu. Swami is Mahavishnu, I am His Lakshmi. My body becomes a jyothi and enters His body. Now His body disappears in the Ganges. The Ganges of Chitravathi takes me, who is inside Him, back to Vaikunta. However, we are born again as Prema Sai and Prema. At the end of the Prema Avatar, the celestial vehicle, Pushpak Viman will descend and carry us and those who come with us back to Vaikunta. The Ganges coming to the Chitravathi happens in a subtle way, not seen by any. In 4 the future, the Vaikunta Viman takes us in physical form back to Vaikunta. This happens in front of all. Avatars are not ordinary human beings; their birth and end is not ordinary. Once, when Swami was young, the Ganges came to the gates of the His Ashram. He stopped the river from entering, thus demonstrating what will happen in the near future. 27 January 2012 Meditation Vasantha : Swami, yesterday You said Sathyan is Samban’s aspect. I spoke about this with those here. Is it correct what I have said? Swami : Yes, yes. What is happening now is to make amends for all that has happened before. Rama killed Valli, so Valli killed Krishna. Samban was dressed up like a woman and the sages were asked, "What child will she have?" Now, it is the same. All are asking Sathyan, "What child will you have? When will it come?" The dhobi was the reason to send Mother Sita out, now they sent you out. We came here to balance all. It is for this alone all family members are suffering. Vasantha : Why were You in hospital? Swami : I showed My leelas in many places, as visiting cards. Yet people used them as their own identity cards. Krishna showed many Bala leelas. Yet, afterwards, these were criticized and looked upon in a wrong way. Sishupala found fault with Krishna many times. It is the same with those who misuse leelas for their own benefit. It is for this I suffer. Vasantha : Swami, what is this? When I hear all these things, it causes me great suffering. Swami : You write all as ‘amendment’. It is for this reason I asked you to write 'Miracle Maya'. Vasantha : Swami, enough of this suffering. You come on 7th February. Swami, You did not bless the sari. Swami : Do not cry. I will surely come. You write happily. End of meditation

Now let us see. Swami has said that Sathyan is an aspect of Samban, the son of Sri Krishna. The Yadavas were very proud that Krishna was born in their clan. Once they dressed Samban up as a pregnant girl. At that time, some rishis came and they brought Samban to them and asked, "Will she have a boy or a girl?" Immediately, the rishis declared, "She will give birth to an iron pestle, which will be the cause of your destruction!" Thus, a pestle was born to Samban. The Yadavas became scared and ground it down to a powder and threw it into the sea. Yet, there was still a small piece left, which they could not powder. They threw this into the sea also. The iron powder sprouted and became grass on the seashore. Sometime after this, the Yadavas all went to the sea. There, all ate and drank, laughing happily. At that time, a quarrel began between some of them, which turned into a fight. All picked up the sea grass and began to hit and stab each other with it. Finally, all were killed and the sea rose flooding Dwarka washing their city away and destroying the whole Yadava clan. 5 The tiny piece of metal, which they had been unable to grind down, was swallowed by a fish. A hunter, caught the fish and found the metal fragment inside and used it to make an arrow head. One day, the hunter went to the forest. At that time Sri Krishna was lying under a tree, His legs moving two and fro. The hunter seeing this through the trees mistook it for a bird’s movements and shot the iron tipped arrow at Krishna’s toe, piercing it. Krishna then left His body. Why did this happen? It happened due to the rishis curse. So it must always be remembered never dishonor elders, saints and sages. As the Yadavas teased them, their whole clan was destroyed. It was also the reason the piece of metal was used as a weapon against Krishna. In the Rama Avatar, Sri Rama hid behind a tree, shot an arrow and killed Valli. It is for this mistake by Rama, Krishna was killed in Dwapara Yuga, thus balancing all. In the Krishna Avatar, Valli came as the hunter, hid in the trees and killed Krishna, by firing an arrow at Him. Swami said Sathyan is an aspect of Samban. Though his marriage took place seven years ago, he does not have a child. Now, he no longer wants to go home as all ask him, "Why do you have no child after so many years of marriage?" At the time of his marriage, Swami said that Sathyan is an aspect of Him and his wife, Sree, is my aspect. He is suffering now for the mistake that Samban committed in Dwapara Yuga. As they are our aspects, we experience through them. Pregnant Sita was sent to the forest by Rama who listened to the words of a dhobi. In the same way, I was sent from Prasanthi by someone who said, "Radha Krishna Cosmic womb!" They stopped me from seeing Swami. It is in this way, history is repeated and all balances. All has happened as 'amendments'. Swami demonstrates now that whatever has happened in the different ages, the Avatar has come now to amend the shortcomings of the previous Avatars. All in our family have only come for this and have suffered as a consequence. My eldest son Aravindan is an aspect of Kaamadeva. As the legs of dharma are broken, he too has had both legs broken, undergoing operation on both. Due to this suffering he was unable to walk for a while. As Sathyan is an aspect of Samban, he is also suffering. Swami and I are also suffering.

6 In Treta Yuga, the task of Rama Avatar had to be carried out in this way. Valli had secured the boon that whoever stood in front of him, half their strength would come to him. It is for this Rama did not stand facing him but killed him in a indirect way. Rama gave respect to the God who gave this boon. God will never take His boon back, once given. So Valli had to be destroyed in a different way. God Himself appeared in front of Valli and granted this boon due to his penance. Thus, Rama killed Valli in a hidden and indirect way. Yet, there is a fruit even for God for this action. This is seen in Dwapara Yuga when Krishna was killed. Due to their penance, the demons and animals were able to secure perishable boons from God. Yet, it is these boons that caused difficulties to the God who bestowed them. Here is an example. Bhasmasura performed severe penance. Lord Shiva appeared to Him and asked what boon he wanted. Bhasmasura said he wanted the boon that whosever head he touched would be destroyed. Shiva bestowed the boon. The asura then tried to put his hand on the head of Lord Shiva! Lord Shiva ran away. then took the form of and deluded the asura. Mohini enchanted the asura and asked him to dance with her. The asura began to dance in competition with Mohini, copying all that she did. When Mohini placed her hand on her head, the asura did the same and destroyed himself. In the same way, Valli asked for a boon and then went to the wrong place, coveting the wife of Sugreeva. Rama then found a cunning way to destroy him. Many have performed intense penance resulting in God appearing before them and asking what they want. Yet, in the end it is their own ego which destroys them. Even if God Himself does anything wrong, He must make amends. What then of the state of man? How is his life? It is each and every thought, word and action that verily decides his life.

7 Chapter 2

Hidden Away from Truth

Why did Swami leave His body while in a hospital? This question has been in my mind for a long time. It is only today that Swami has given the answer. Swami underwent suffering due to the mistakes of man. Swami shows His presence in many houses. There, vibuthi, kumkum and other things manifest. In some houses He speaks through some and yet in other houses, He writes messages. At first, all are filled with wonder. Swami has said these are all His visiting cards. An example. A person sees a minister and is given his visiting card. He thinks, ‘Where is he, how and when can I get to see him?’ Again he thinks, ‘Maybe someone can introduce me to him?’ However, these are all God’s visiting cards. We think, ‘where is He?’ All cannot go and see a minister directly. We need some sort of recommendation before we can be introduced to him. Only then is it possible to maybe talk to him. If not, we will only be able to see him from a distance in a common place when he gives public speeches and nowhere else. In the same way, once we know this is Swami’s visiting card, is it enough to go to Puttaparthi and see Him while sitting in a crowd? Is it enough if we talk to Him or if He gives us an interview? Is it enough to have a VIP seat? We should instead contemplate, ‘Why have kumkum, vibuthi and vigrahas come in our house? What is the reason? There are millions of devotees, why has Swami chosen our house? It is only after contemplation will we realize, ‘Oh, Swami has given all these things so we change ourselves’. We should select the right guru or saint and ask them how to see God. If we cannot find a guru, we should read Swami’s books. Yet, is it enough to only read them? We must change and transform ourselves as well. It is for this reason alone that miracles happen as Swami’s visiting cards. However, people make these visiting cards into personal identity cards. Showing them to others, they gather a crowd around them and secure name, fame and money. They give more importance to the body and go on increasing their feelings of ‘I and mine’. It is through these selfish actions that they are destroyed. This is clearly seen through the story of Bhasmasura. How much penance he performed? He asked the boon from God that whomever he touched on the head would become ash. In the end, he himself became ash. Hiranyakasipu also performed intense penance. When God appeared in front of him he asked the boon that he could not die inside or outside the house; neither in the sky nor on earth. No weapon could kill him. It is in this way, he cleverly asked his boon. As he was filled with great pride, he did not even respect God. He announced that he himself was God! In the end, God came in a half man-half lion form, dragged him on His lap and clawed him to death with His nails! 8 Bhasmasura tried to burn God! Narakasura secured the boon that his death would only come through his mother. He was the son of Bhoomidevi and the Varaha Avatar. Finally in Dwapara Yuga, he was killed by Sathyabama, who was the aspect of Bhoomidevi. All these asuras performed penance, securing boons from God. Yet, as they walked on the path of adharma, all were killed by God. How much cleverness they possessed to get these boons from God? Yet, how much greater is the cleverness of God, who has bestowed the boon? It is the same with those who receive God’s visiting cards. When they use them for themselves, it only makes their asuric qualities grow. These visiting cards become just like the boons the asuras got. The gopis saw the leelas of Krishna and forgot themselves. Thus, they attained the supreme state of Mumukshus. Yet, some like Sishupala criticized and would not accept them and scorned Krishna. It is through this he destroyed himself. There are some now who have had great good fortune from Swami, but are not using the opportunity in a good way. They become selfish and mislead others and take them in the wrong direction. In the previous ages, God killed all the asuras. As Swami came here to kill the asuric qualities in all, He accepted all on His own body and suffered. However, no one thinks of God and instead merge themselves in their ‘I and mine’. No one thinks of the Atma. They are only immersed in attachment to the body. It is for this alone Swami took all suffering in His own body in the hospital. He went to hospital and suffered like an ordinary man, accepting all in His own body. All should contemplate on this. It is the evil qualities in all that are the reason for Swami going to hospital. These are all Supreme Truths. God demonstrates through His life how man should live life in a correct way. He shows through the law of karma that even the Avatar must experience suffering if He ‘slips’ from dharma. When I was writing all this, a thought came to me. ‘Swami has given gold and jewels to all, why has He not given any to me? Up until this moment, He has not given one thing to me’. I asked Swami the reason many times. He would only say there was a reason and He would tell me in the future. As I was writing about amendments, I thought there must also be a reason for this. A doubt then came to my mind regarding Sathyabama’s trying to balance God with all her jewels and gold. When I told this to Eddy, he also said that this may be so.

27 January 2012 Afternoon meditation Vasantha : Swami, why do You never give me gold jewels? Is it for Sathyabama’s mistake? Swami : Yes. Sathyabama wanted to weigh Krishna with her gold. To amend this pride in her, I do not give to you now. How much you cry and wail. I do not give anything to you in order to balance that mistake. You do not cry.

9 Vasantha : Swami, now I understand. When I was young, my mother would sit in front of Krishna’s picture crying loudly and pray, ‘I have nothing gold but this Mangalya, Kanha’. Swami : Your father used all for the nation’s freedom. You sacrifice all for world freedom. You yearn and cry for one thing from My hand. You write and finish with this on Sathyabama. We are suffering for these mistakes, all has now finished. After, I will give. Vasantha : Swami, I gave back a diamond necklace worth a crore. I am only asking for a small amount of gold from Your hand. It is for this I am crying. Swami : Do not cry, I will give. End of meditation Sathyabama wanted that Krishna only belong to her. Narada advised her to give gold and jewels equivalent to Krishna’s weight and then He would be hers. Thus, she placed gold bars, diamonds and jewels on the scale, but it would not balance. Finally, Rukmini came and placed a single Tulsi leaf with devotion and balanced the scale. We can never balance God with wealth. It is only through pure devotion, the scales balance. I am suffering now due to Sathyabama’s pride then. Why does the God who has given millions of rings and jewels to all, refuse to give one gram of gold to me? It is for this I have been yearning and crying for the last thirty five years. Swami recently gave some stones, but these were not diamonds or real gems. Yet, this thought did not come to my mind. For God, a diamond and piece of coal are the same. I thought it is enough that He has given something. However, when Swami asked me to make the pieces of jewelry, not one piece was made perfectly. It is for this I cried and pleaded with Him to give one piece of jewelry with His own hand. Why has He not given? Why? Why? Why? It is only now He has given an answer to this never ending question of mine. I am doing penance because Sathyabama placed God on the scales and tried to balance Him with her gold. Swami is the God of all wealth. Lakshmi is Goddess of all wealth. Yet, the same Lakshmi now pleads for one gram of gold from Swami like a beggar. Nanina gave me a very expensive and beautiful diamond necklace. Swami asked me to wear it. I wore it for the Kumbha Abhishekam of the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam. I then removed it. When Nanina came again this year, I returned the ornament to her. Thiru had a necklace made for me from the gemstones Swami gave. Yet, I did not want this either. I only want what comes me from Swami’s hand. Just like Sathyabama, who wanted to give her gold to balance Krishna, many are ready to give me their gold, but I do not want all this. After my marriage at sixteen, I began to wear jewelry and expensive saris. After six years of marriage, Swami left me and I renounced all for Him. At that time, I cried night and day to attain God. I did sadhana, sadhana, sadhana. I spent my life fasting, took many vows, crying tears and yearning. I now have the same mentality. I do not want to wear jewels and costly saris. I want only Swami. My grandmother and mother gave all their jewels to my father for the cause of national freedom. They did all for the good of the country. I do as they had done.

10 At the time of my marriage, my father opened our safe and said, “Look inside Amma, it was full of jewels, now it is empty!” Though my father was teasing me, in truth my life was ‘empty’ and the lives of those in my family was also empty. All only wanted God and nothing else. They renounced all for the freedom of the nation. I renounced all for the freedom of all nations, for universal well-being. I have now sacrificed my Swami and am crying and crying. Though Swami knows all, He is in the state where He cannot do anything for me. We have come here to balance the shortcomings of each Avataric period. What happened in the previous Avatars was not a mistake, all happened as it should at that time. The supreme and greatest Avatar has come to make all Poornam. We suffer in this way now, to balance all.

28 January 2012 Meditation Vasantha : Today I will write of Sathyabama. How many more of these amendments? Swami : All now finishes. How long have I not given anything to you and you cried? Now all has balanced. I will give Myself to you. Vasantha : Are there any other faults left in any? Does Parvathi have any faults? Swami : Dakshayani entered the fire only once. You enter the fire daily and prove your chastity. Vasantha : Swami, what shall I write about Mother Sita, myself and the dhobi? Swami : You change the world so there are no longer ignorant people. Vasantha : What is this ‘hidden away from sight unseen by anyone?’ What does it mean Swami? Swami : It is the Truth hidden away from sight, unseen by any. We have now come to reveal it, showing it outside. End of meditation

Now let us see about this. Yesterday night, Swami wrote the following in the 'Ananda Sutra' manuscript: 'Hidden away from sight unseen by anyone'. I asked Swami for an explanation and He said that for all the yugas, Truth was hidden from sight and unseen by all. At the time of the Avatars, some found fault and criticized them. Others accepted things as they were. Swami now explains and reveals Truths that were hidden and not seen by anyone. All now comes into balance and becomes Poornam. Due to ignorant people, Mother Sita and her children were separated from Rama and suffered. At present, Swami and I are suffering in separation. My penance is to remove ignorance from the world. My suffering in separation from Swami makes this possible. All in the world will become jnanis. This is Sathya Yuga, the New Creation. When Dakshayani realized her mistake, she entered the fire. Shiva became angry and destroyed all at the yagna of Daksha. Here, I am entering the fire each

11 and every moment for the sake of world kaama and karma. For the previous small shortcomings of the Avatars, Swami now comes as Rudra Shiva and destroys the evil qualities in all. As proof for this, Swami gave a small packet of vibuthi today. It was different, unlike any we had seen before. It was held together with a small clip, with the form of Shirdi Baba on it. On one side was the Sarva Dharma symbol. There, Swami marked the fire symbol of the Zoroastrians. Then on the other side was the form of two Stupis with the top lotus orange in color. This mixes with the fire of Zorashtra and makes a bigger fire. This shows Swami now comes out from Agni and makes all ash. It is for this He showed the Shirdi Baba pin. One day Swami said He would give me a ring. When I asked Amar to search, all he could find was a bunch of dried Tulsi leaves! Through this Swami shows God is not attained through jewels or gold, but only through devotion as symbolized by the tulsi.

12 Chapter 3

God and Creation the Same

9 February 2012 Today, Swami gave two things as the divine message. The first was a blue piece of paper with the writing: Sai ram - For Ganesh - Thnx. The other was a yellow paper with a picture of some scales. There Krishna is seen sitting on one side of the scale pan and jewels are on the other. Krishna’s side is down, and the jewels up. The two did not balance. I drew the same picture before in the book ‘Karmic Law Remedy’. Sathyabama’s jewels could never balance Krishna. To balance the karmas of the world I myself sit in the scale pan and make all equal. This is what I have written. Swami took this book from our messenger, looked inside and then gave it to the Vice Chancellor of His University. Now Swami has drawn anew in a different way. 9 February 2012 Noon meditation Vasantha : Swami, what is this You have drawn, all Sathyabama’s earrings and jewels? Swami : You said that you do not want earrings. How many I gave? So you are Sai Karnaamritha Dvaniyai, your call and yearning cries become My earrings. Now you think and write. End of meditation

I could not understand what Swami said. All saw the many different earrings. We all talked and laughed as some looked like chilies and some like eggs. The jewels Swami drew were also of many designs. Evening meditation Vasantha : Swami, are they all Sathyabama’s jewels? There are more earrings. Swami : First I gave you pearl earrings, then conch earrings. You removed them. I then gave the half pearls and special gems to make earrings. After some time, you also removed these. How many jewels have I given you, yet, you removed all saying you only want Swami. So, you become My Shirasa Alankrutha Syamantakamani, Karnaamrutha Dvaniyai. Likewise, you become My ornaments. Now, I am coming to give Myself to you. Vasantha : Now I understand. What is ‘Thnx for Ganesha'. Swami : You tell who Ganesha is.

13 Vasantha : I do not know Swami. Swami : Ganesh means elephant. Elephant means touch feeling. Touch feeling means body. Through your Prema I have touch feeling and the body has come. Vasantha : Swami wonderful! When will You come out? Swami : I will come in a few days. You be happy. End of meditation

Now let us see about this. Earlier Swami gave pearls and asked us to make earrings. I wore them. Later, I removed them and wore smaller earrings. After this, I wore rose shaped coral earrings. Swami then asked me to make conch shape earrings engraved with His name. I wore these also for some time. Swami then gave two half pearls and two special yellow gems. He asked me to make new earrings, saying they were for the goddess Abirami. I wore these for some time and then removed them. Swami gave many gems and asked me to make different ornaments. This is like the Syamantakamani, 14 gems for the 14 worlds, 5 gems for the 5 elements, 9 gems for the nine planets. Though He gives all and asks me to make the jewelry, I do not want anything. I only want Swami. What is the use of an ornament, other than Him? Are they equal to Swami? I do not want anything. Why jewels for me at this time of my life? When I renounced all at a young age, then why have them now? It is for this reason Swami said I have become His ornaments. When I asked Swami why, He said, ‘Thank you to Ganesh" and gave the following explanation. Ganesh symbolizes the elephant, which in turn indicates touch feeling. The sensation of touch is more heightened in an elephant. It is due to the sensation of touch that the elephant is caught by man. Man too is caught by touch feeling. Whatever he touches in this birth is the reason for his next birth. Touch feeling is the reason for the birth of the body. It is now through my Prema touch feelings Swami is born anew. Swami wrote ‘Thnx for Ganesha’. How many meanings and explanations are there for this statement? We think it is an ordinary thanks to Ganesha. However, Swami has given a wonderful explanation. This only God can do. Today in the evening, when we went to the Garbha Kottam for arathi, we saw a long spinal cord and Swami’s form riding on an elephant in the sky. Seeing this, all were filled with wonder. Swami showed the correct proof for Ganesha. At night when arathi was being offered, Eddy took a photograph of the Stupi. There many golden S’s were seen emerging from the Stupi’s star. Swami was also seen standing in a light form next to the Stupi.

14 10 February 2012 Morning meditation Vasantha : Swami what were the S’s seen in the photo taken of the Stupi last night? Your light form was also seen. Swami : No one can understand our overflowing Prema! Did I become you, or you become Me? Who can know? Who can understand? No one can find out. This is the measure of our mad Prema. Vasantha : Swami, You told about the jewels on the scales. What are the ones which look like chilies? Swami : Those are your two hands, which have been burned like chilies; two legs are the karmic sacks. You carry all in your limbs. I then gave ornaments to you. You removed all. Now you become My ornaments. Your heart is My necklace; we are both on the pendant. You are My crown; your sacrifice is My crown. Your dispassion is the jyothi on My head. Thus, each of your limbs decorates Me as ornaments. So now, I am running to you, asking you to accept Me. Otherwise, how to balance the debt of your Prema? Sure I will come back. End of meditation

I carry the karmas of the world in my body. In 2003, my legs and hands were full of boils, which burst and became open wounds. Water began to seep from the sores. I began to cry at this point as the wounds were burning me. It is for this that Swami drew two chilies, to show the suffering I underwent. He then drew two sacks, showing that my entire body is affected by world karma. It was at this time also, Swami underwent a hip and eye operation.

15 The two chili shape earrings show the wounds on my hands. Then there is one big earring and one small one indicating that one of my ears is affected more than the other. There is another pair of earrings with five petals and one with six petals. This shows how my senses are affected. In the pair of bangles, one has ten stones and the other eleven. This shows that one hand is more affected than the other. Of the two anklets, one has 10 ten curves the other 9 curves. This again indicates how a particular part of my body is affected more by disease than another. There are also two lotuses, one drooping and limp, the other blossoming. This indicates my nose. I always suffer, sneeze and my nose runs through one nostril only. The other is okay. The sun that Swami drew, with rays coming out, symbolizes the eye that He gave me. As I cannot see in the other eye, Swami only drew one eye. There was also an ornament that hung on a hook. It is like one pan with a form sitting on it. I have given my entire body to balance the karmic accounts of all. Thus, I myself sit on the scales to balance all. Now let us see the ornaments that indicate the necklaces that Swami has given. 1) One ornament was in the shape of a heart. Here S and V unite. This is the Chintamani. 2) One ornament was a conch shape, which indicates the earrings. 3) Another ornament had a pearl and a yellow stone. This was for the Abhirami earrings. 4) Another ornament was for the 14 worlds. 5) A dollar, which represented each of the 5 elements. 6) There was a chain for the nine planets. 7) Then one necklace for the Syamantakamani. 8) There was also one crown.

16 It is in this way Swami drew all. I removed all jewels. I want only Swami. He has now said that this all becomes His ornaments. In this picture Krishna wears an ornamental necklace made of six hearts. This indicates the Shad Gunas, the six divine qualities. Below is an SV pendant which is connected with a V chain. Another necklace with a D pendant is heart shaped. The crown on His head has a Syamantakamani. This indicates my sacrifice. The jyothi on the crown is showing my dispassion. In His hand there is one ornament. That is Hastha Bhushanayai. Every limb of my body is an ornament which decorates Swami’s body. Each of my limbs is affected by world karma. I am suffering so much for the task of World Liberation, Yet, whatever happens to me, I have the strong conviction that I will never leave Swami. As I sacrifice all, I become His ornaments. So, He now comes to give Himself to me. This is shown by Krishna in the sky, His hands raised, as if to be saying, ‘I have now finished all and I am running to you’. It was on 8 February, we saw Krishna in the sky. Swami then wrote Om Sri Sai Ram in the manuscript of the book ‘Brilliance of a Million Suns’ in chapter 21 ‘Cosmic Divine Feelings’. Now let us see about this. In the coming Sathya Yuga, there will be none of man’s feelings or that which connects to the body; there will be only God feelings. Feelings of Sathya and Prema will fill the world. The entire Creation will be like this. It is from these Sathya and Prema feelings that cosmic feelings will come. It is my feelings that take form. Though I have no ‘i’, my form is here. Swami alone is inside my form. On the outside, it seems to be Vasantha’s form, yet inside is merged with the cosmic feelings of Swami. In truth, this is only Swami’s form. Feelings alone are the true form. It is due to the feelings form within that the cosmic feelings are revealed outside as wisdom. Yath Bhavam Tat Bhavathi, as you think, so it becomes. As I am always thinking about Swami, His omniscience is revealed outside as wisdom. The experience of cosmic feelings becomes wisdom. This experience with Swami is coming as the Sathya Yuga. Prajnana emerges from the cosmic feelings. Thus, the prajnana of all reveals itself outside. This is the reason for the coming Sathya Yuga. This spiritual experience is giving wisdom. My feelings are ‘I want to experience God’. These one pointed feelings and this thirst opens the bindu, bringing forth a New Creation. In the photo we saw last night of the Stupi, Swami’s light form and many S’s were seen near the Stupi. When I asked Swami about this, He said, “No one can know if you have become Me or I have become you. No one can know this mad Prema.” This is a new revelation of Truth. As I think about Swami continuously, I have become Him. It is through my feelings I become Swami. As Swami is always thinking of me, He becomes me. Two are required for Prema to be experienced. This experience becomes bliss. I experience Swami and He experiences me. Our experience then expands as the new Creation. This is the reason Swami said that ours is a 'mad Prema', which cannot be understood by anyone.

17 God is coming to experience Prema. God has no experience, but is now coming anew to experience. It is the first time He is coming to experience Prema. The entire Creation is only the experience of God and His Shakthi. 10 February 2012 Noon meditation Vasantha : What are these jewels for? How much I have suffered for the world! Are they for my suffering? Swami : It is for the body; every part of your body has suffered to change the world. Your limbs become the new universe. Your individual body suffers. Now your body parts become My body parts. This is showing we are Purusha Prakrithi. It is for this reason alone we have come. Vasantha : Now I understand Swami. End of meditation

Each limb of my body has been affected for the sake of world karma. It is my body that expands as the universe. In order to transform the universe, my body has suffered. As the universe’s five elements have been polluted, my five senses have been affected. This is shown through the jewels Swami drew. Each and every limb of my body is suffering. I have taken the pollution of the five elements and nine planets in my body and I am changing them. Swami has now said that as each limb yearns for Him, my body becomes each part of His body. Each part of me is crying out and calling Swami. This is why Swami says my limbs are His ornaments and has given the names:

Shirasa Alankrutha Syamantakamani Namaha Sai Karnaamrutha Dvaniyai Namaha Sai Nasi Vasinyai Namaha Sai Nayana Deekshanyani Namaha Sai Hasta Booshanayai Namaha Sai Udhara Vyapikayai Namaha Sai Kanta Haarayai Namaha Sai Paada Dulikayai Namaha

These names indicate the state of Purusha and Prakrithi. It is the state Swami and I are in. Through this the New Creation comes. It shows how God and Creation are one.

18 Chapter 4

Pure Sandal Body

For the last few days, the sandal that we have been using for abhishekam has not been good. It has an unnatural perfumed scent. I told Yamini and Amar, ‘These days nothing is pure, everything has something else mixed in. Even the things used for God have something mixed in’. 28 February 2012 Today Swami gave a packet of pure sandal powder as the divine message. We were filled with wonder as I had been saying for the last three days the sandal was not good. Now pure sandal has come! There was a Chennai address written on the packet. Swami then gave a maroon velvet bag as another message. On the front of the bag were two birds in a single large heart. Around them was a design of fourteen flowers. Of the flowers, one had four petals, one eight petals and the rest five petals. There were fourteen leaves there also. The two birds were together looking at each other inside the heart; one bird was slightly bigger than the other. The eight petal and four petal flower indicate Vaikunta’s Adi and Padi, the two halves of the Whole. It is in the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam that our two hearts unite. It is from there our vibrations go out to the 14 worlds. The small heart indicates that it is only our heart that functions in all. On the back of the bag there was a butterfly. Swami shows in many different ways that the Sathya Yuga is coming. He has shown through the many different heart forms He has given. The reason for Sathya Yuga’s dawn is only our heart feelings. In order to show this, Swami asked that we construct the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam. The New Universe is itself heart shaped! The bag shows that the hearts of all are changing.

19 In Swami’s message yesterday He told that He has been preparing His mission over many yugas. It is for this reason He has brought all. Thus, everyone must make themselves pure. Yesterday, I opened Sathya Sai Speaks Volume 3, page 82: ... Even before the advent of the Avatar, the stage is set to the minutest detail; Kaikeyi is ready with her two indefinite boons, Dasharatha is ready with the curse of the ascetic on his head, entailing upon him a death due to anguish at the separation of his son, the Vaanaras are ready to help the Divine Purpose. Sita is ready risen from the earth, to provide the cause for the downfall of Evil. Just as a garland is made of flowers gathered from many plants, flowers of many hues and fragrances, so too the Garland of the Divine Story is made up of a variety of incidents, a boon, a blessing, a curse to provide the wonderful plot of His Story. This is the Rama Avatar plot.

Now let us see Sai Avatar’s plot and how the stage is set. On 10 September 2010 Swami gave a drama as post. The drama is in the form of a conversation between Mahavishnu and Mahalakshmi in Vaikunta. The stage is set. Kaakabhujandar is the adviser; so the adviser is ready. The Sathya Stambha is ready to come down from above. The gopi gopas are ready with their boon. One apsara is ready with her boon, another ready to amend. Mahalakshmi is ready to be born on earth. All devas are ready to be born in Vadakkampatti. One aspect Narada is ready to be born with a curse, the other ready to come as a member of the family. A Vaikunta Vasi is ready to carry all burdens on his head. Akrura is ready with one desire. Rohini’s brother did not witness the leelas of Balarama and Krishna, so is now ready to come. King Dasaratha is ready with a boon not to be separated from Rama. Sanjaya is ready with the boon to be near Krishna. Vashista is ready in two forms! Kubera’s two sons are waiting with gratitude feelings; the family from Rama’s period is ready. Vivekananda is ready to amend.      If you want to know more, you can read the three volumes of 'Avatar’s Secret' that I have written. So you see, the stage is set ready for Swami's descent. Now let us see.   27 February 2012 Morning meditation Vasantha : Swami, why do You not show anything incredible happening here? How much my body and mind are suffering, I am unable to bear it any longer! At least cure my throat, I will then be able to sing Your glories! Swami : Okay. I will do one thing for you in two days. Vasantha : You have told like this many times before, but nothing happened! Swami : Now it is not like that. I will tell you. Lord Shiva’s Nishta was broken through Parvathi’s penance. When Parvathi sat near Him, Lord Muruga was born through this sparshan.

20 The first time you touched Me was when you gave the letter about being Radha. After this, I physically touched your hand one day in Vadakkampatti. I appeared, touched and kissed your hand. You also kissed My hand. The first touch was in Puttaparthi. You took padanamaskar, I touched your hand. It is this that becomes New Creation. Vasantha : Swami, this is something new You are revealing! You must do something within two days. Until that time, I will not touch You. When my eye had no retina, You gave another within two days. Now again, do something within two days. You remove one suffering from my body. End of meditation

It was a good meditation. Swami told of the first touch. I thought about what Swami had said regarding the first physical darshan. It was on 7 November 1996, I suddenly felt someone touch me while I was sleeping. I looked up and saw Swami. I immediately touched and kissed His hand. He kissed my hand and then disappeared. Swami told me I was His Radha. On the 30 November 1995, I wrote all in a letter. At the time, we were in Puttaparthi as sevadals for Swami’s 70th birthday. During darshan on that day, Swami stood in front of me, gave me padanamaskar and touched my hand. This was our first physical touch after leaving Vaikunta. In Vaikunta, my hands are ever pressing Swami’s feet. This has happened for the last 28 yugas. This was the first time after we came here that I touched and caught hold of His feet and He touched my hand. This was our first sparshan. He touched my hand to console me. After we installed Swami’s padukas in the Garbha Kottam, He asked us to install a picture of my hands. It is only now I understand the reason. The first sparshan becomes New Creation. Thus, Swami compares this to Shiva Shakthi. When Lord Shiva was in Nishta, Kaamadeva disturbed Him and His Nishta was broken. Shiva awoke to see Parvathi, who was performing penance to marry Lord Shiva. Their marriage took place. When Parvathi sat near Shiva, Lord Murugan was born through this touch. It is in the same way, I performed penance for Swami, not knowing my marriage was with Him alone. Through this penance, I got Swami’s sparshan. He also touched me. That sparshan happened after 15 years and has now become a temple, a sparshan temple. It is from there that in the New Creation all are born as Murugan. Afternoon meditation Vasantha : Swami, I made a mistake! Why have I told in this way? I will not tell in this way again! Please give a message through someone! End of meditation

I cried continuously. In the morning there was no message either. Then on 28 February 2012, Amar brought a small piece of paper, which had ‘28 1 2012’, written on. When I checked my

21 diary, I saw that it was on this day Swami told about Sathyabama’s amendment and how, when I married Him in that form, I never allowed Him to touch me. Now, Swami has told here of the first sparshan in Puttaparthi. Swami consoled me by giving the maroon velvet bag. 28 February 2012 Afternoon meditation Vasantha : Swami, enough! I cannot be without touching You. Swami : You cannot be without touching Me and I also cannot be without touching you. Now all has finished, we can touch. Vasantha : What is the sandal Swami? Swami : As you said a few days ago that the sandal was not good, I have given pure sandal. It shows your body offering to Me. Your body will now change its fragrance like sandal. You sacrifice your body for Me and the world. Like sandal you sacrifice yourself for all. This is the reason why I said I would give in ‘two days’. Now we can be happy. End of meditation

I am always crying to Swami to do something for my mind or body suffering. God can do anything. Why does He not do anything for me? It is for this He said He would do something within two days. I then said that I would not touch Him for two days. Yet, how can I be without touching His feet? Thus I cried more. Before I speak with Swami in meditation, I always catch hold of His feet. His feet were in my hands for 28 yugas! If I do not touch His feet for one day, I am unable to bear it! Swami has now given a packet of pure sandal wood as proof for my body offering. My body is now offered to Swami. Swami brought the one who was pressing His feet for 28 yugas to earth in a separate form. It is due to this separation that He always makes me cry. He showed His sparshan through the nearness of marriage and then disappeared. I cried, wailed and purified all to offer Him. Now the body alone remains. It is for this reason I experience so much suffering in the body; all is only for body offering. On the 28 February 2012, Swami gave sandal to show my body offering is complete. A few years ago, Swami asked me to give Him the sandal, which had been applied to my body. I wrote all in the book 'Gita Govindam' Pt. 1. My body is like sandalwood, which is rubbed and rubbed away for Swami and the world leaving nothing. The sandal gives fragrance and coolness to all. Sacrificing itself, it finally loses all identity and becomes nothing. My body is the same. My body is useful for the Avataric task and for the world; yet, it now becomes nothing. I asked Swami to remove all the body’s bad smells, the saliva, phlegm, all waste matter. I want it to become totally pure. Only then can I offer it to Swami. Swami has now given pure sandal and said, “Now your body is offered to Me.” Over the last few days, I had been thinking 'how can I use impure sandal that has something added to it for abhishekam'? In answer to my worries, Swami has given the pure sandal. This is my body. My tears alone are abhishekam for His feet, my feelings His pottu.

22 Chapter 5

Sai Sanjana

Last night, we saw inside the ‘Yoga Sutra’ manuscript that Swami had put an arrow by the chapter ‘Sai Yoga’ and written: He gave acceptance stamp. Now let us see about this. I have written as ‘Yoga Sutra’ all the things that I have done in my life. Whatever and whoever I saw I would connect with God. It is this ‘cutting and connecting’ that I have written as Yoga Sutra. I have also written in ‘Yoga Sutra’, how I would note down in my diary the good qualities of all. I learned the habit of daily meditation, keeping a diary and reading the Bhagavad Gita and Gandhiji’s books all from my father. I learned many good habits from him. When I was very sick my grandmother would sit near my bed and pray continuously. In 1980, I became very sick and underwent great suffering for five years. At that time, my grandmother prayed to Swami loudly, ‘Take my life and give it to her." When I was studying, I read about Barbar, the father of Akbar, who prayed for the life of his grandson, Humayun. Barbar sacrificed his own life for the sake of his grandson. My grandmother was the same. She had a sudden heart attack and died, giving her own life to save mine. I learned the lesson of sacrificing our life for others from my grandmother. I also learned good qualities from my children. When we talked about their marriage with them, they told us, ‘You do whatever you want. You alone should see the girls; we will not see them’. This extent of humility and shyness belongs to the sons of rishis from the Vedic period! This is real Brahmachari. If this quality is possessed by those who enter family life, good sons will be born to them. I wrote the good qualities of all in my diary. Now in this modern age, boys tell who they want to marry and before their marriage want to talk and be with the girl alone! The universe is a school. We have come here to learn lessons from all. I learned lessons from all and saw the good qualities in them. Thus, in my house, if anyone made a mistake I myself would ask forgiveness from them. I would accept the mistake as my own. I would think that I am the reason they have made the mistake. It was at this time I visited many places. Wherever I went, I would not see the faults in others. When I came to the Ashram, some also said, "You are doing this, you are doing that." It was in this way they would tell and I would only ask forgiveness from them. In my family, with Sai devotees and in the Ashram, has no one made a mistake? Is it only I who has made all mistakes? All have spoken harshly to me. I thought, 'it is only I who has faults and is committing mistakes in this world. All are good only I am bad’. Dharmaraja also spoke in this way. Thus, I am afraid of all and think if I make a mistake Swami will leave me. This is my one and only fear. It is for this reason I never see the faults of others.

23 Whatever I did in my young age, Swami asked me to write as ‘Yoga Sutra’. Whatever I saw or heard I would connect with Krishna. This is simple Krishna Yoga. Whatever I have done Swami asked me to write as Yoga Sutra. Thus, I said Swami has given the written evidence through this. This is Sai Yoga. It is here only Swami put an arrow mark and wrote ‘Swami gave acceptance stamp’. Therefore, I ask all of you do not follow the hard yogic path, practice simple Sai Yoga. The formula for Sai Yoga is, ‘cutting and connecting’. We cut worldly things and their meaning and connect them with God. This is Sai Yoga. It is very simple. I wrote all this in the book, ‘Yoga Sutra’ in the early days. The book has not as yet been published. As I have practiced this Sai Yoga, I asked for world liberation. This is my debt of gratitude, my Guru Dakshina that I owe to all. As I saw the entire Creation as my gurus, I asked Swami for liberation for all. This is coming as Sathya Yuga’s New Creation. Sai Yoga is the best of all yogas. For this, Swami gave the acceptance stamp. Swami’s seal of acceptance is the Sathya Yuga and New Creation. Another very important point is that the Swami who left the body is coming again. This is also His acceptance stamp. I saw Swami throughout Creation. This is Yath Bhavam Tat Bhavathi. As I connected the entire Kali Yuga with Swami, it becomes a Golden Yuga, Sathya Yuga. In my young age, if I saw a door I would think it is a door to Moksha. I connected an ordinary door to God. Now the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam has descended to earth in Mukthi Nilayam as Vaikunta’s doorway. This is the Mukthi doorway. This is Sai Yoga. When I was writing this today in the morning, Amar brought Swami’s dhotis from the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam. Inside there were six pieces of folded white paper. When we opened them we saw the following. Four papers which had the words: Paras Sanjana One paper was plain, on another was written: Jyothi 6.30 mts We then looked on the internet to see the meaning of the words, Paras Sanjana. Let us see. Paras means touchstone, philosopher’s stone. Sanjana is an Indian word which means harmony. The meaning in Hindi is soft, gentle, untouchable, a unique Creation of God. In Sanskrit, it means to know right from wrong and ‘gentle Creation of God’. I asked Swami about it in meditation. 5 February 2012 Evening meditation Vasantha : Swami, what is Paras and Sanjana? Swami : You are Paras; you are the philosopher’s stone. You change the Iron Age to the Golden Yuga. Vasantha : What have You written on the other paper? Swami : You are standing as Jyothi Stamba as Pure Consciousness. Thus four yugas become Poornam, this is New Creation. End of meditation 24 6 February 2012 Morning meditation Vasantha : Swami, please tell something about the philosopher’s stone? Swami : You are the philosopher’s stone, the alchemy stone. It is through your Agni chastity that wherever is touched turns to gold. You make Creation anew. You make a Creation through feelings that have only touched Me. You are the philosopher’s stone that makes the Iron Yuga into the Golden Age. It is through your Prema that you do all. Thus, an untouched virgin Creation comes. End of meditation

The philosopher’s stone changes iron into gold. I touch only Swami with my fire like chastity. My feelings, life force, five senses, do not touch anyone or anything except Swami. I have only touched Swami from birth itself. Thus, the Iron Age becomes the Golden Yuga. Wherever I touch becomes God. Hiranyakasipu mockingly asked his son Prahlada, "where is your Narayana? Is He in this pillar?" Prahlada said, "He is in the pillar and the blade of grass."’ Hearing this, Hiranya struck the pillar and immediately, the Lord appeared in the form of Narasimha Avatar. In the same way, I show that God is verily in each and everything. I saw God in all and practiced this as Sai Yoga. It is for this the New Creation comes out from all. I wrote a poem many years ago, The Primal God is in Puttaparthi Wherever we touch or whoever we see He is revealed there.

Now let us see about Sanjana. One meaning of this word is harmony. This means that our thoughts, words and deeds should be one, the three become one. For me, this means that the Atma and body should also harmonize. All leave the body and merge their Atma with God. I had the desire from my young age that my body must merge with God. This was because I was afraid of death. Death should not come to my body! This is my sadhana. My body should merge with Swami’s body. In Hindi, the meaning of Sanjana is soft, gentle, untouchable and a unique Creation of God. This is the new virgin Creation that is coming directly from God. This is Vasanthamayam Creation. Thus, it is soft and gentle like a spring breeze. This is the first Creation coming from Swami. The cycle of the four Ages is different. The new yuga shows how the first Primal Creation comes. In Sanskrit, it means knowing right from wrong. Why has this human birth been given? We are born here not to be born again. Yet, unable to realize this, all mingle in worldly life and are bound by the attachments of ‘I and mine’. Each lifetime their bad qualities continue to grow; thus, they are born and die repeatedly.

25 The greatest Avatar came here and preached this for 80 years. Birth is given for man to become God. Human birth is very rare and is something that even the devas cannot attain. It is only through a human birth can we realize God. I am born in the Kali Yuga and have learned only good from all. As I have known that which is good in this bad Kali, it now becomes the Sathya Yuga. Yet, for those who have this rare and good human birth, they have come in Kali and only learned the bad from good. I take the good from everything. This is the yoga I have performed. Another meaning of Sanjana is ‘gentle language from God’. This is Sanskrit. Sanskrit has come directly from God. Thus, the Vedas are all in Sanskrit. Swami gave a yellow bag in the kitchen, which had written in big letters the following Tamil proverb: 'When all live together, millions of benefits come...'

It was written on two sides in orange letters. On the left side was a picture of a big neem tree with many branches and leaves. In the branches were many pairs of birds sitting together. There were also birds in the sky, flying in both directions. Underneath the tree was a small pond with a blossoming lotus. Under the lotus stem, there were two fish looking at each other. Near the lotus there were two more fish facing each other. Also in the pond were lotus leaves and lotus buds and the form of a swan. The blossoming lotus had V shape petals; the edge of the pond was in an S shape pattern. The tree’s branches were also V’s. I asked Swami about all this in meditation.

26 6 February 2012 Morning meditation Vasantha : What is the yellow bag? Swami : The neem tree indicates you are Shakthi. In the New Creation, only we two will live. The two fish and lotus show we came from Vaikunta as Adi Moolam and Moola Prakrithi. The seven scales on the fish represent the chakras and show all will attain awareness. Vasantha : What is the swan Swami? Swami : It indicates purity, Pure Consciousness. End of meditation

The proverb says, "When all live together, millions of benefits come." This is the Sathya Yuga, where all will live together. God will also live among man. There will be no differences. All realize they are only the children of the one God. God will live with all. The neem tree indicates Shakthi. Now the roots of the tree are planted in the earth as the Aswatta tree. This New Age, which is born from Shakthi, is a Vasanthamayam Creation. Here only Swami and I will live. The leaves on the tree are all in pairs, except the one at the end of each branch. This shows that the One has become two. There are many kinds of birds. On the yellow bag is a lake. Here the sky lotus comes to earth. This is the base chakra, Mooladhara. Here the two fish come together and unite and cross the seven chakras of kundalini, indicated by the seven scales on each fish. The Sahasrara opens and the swan of Pure Consciousness, the divine bird emerges. This is the divine pure Creation. It is through this state of Pure Consciousness that the New Creation comes. This is what Swami shows here. Swami wrote on four pieces of pure white paper, showing the four Ages are purified and made pure. On another paper Swami wrote, ‘Jyothi 6.30 mts’. He said this is Jyothi Stambha, the pillar of light. This is my kundalini; this is the Stupi, which is 6.30 mts high. This is Sathya Stambha, Jyothi Stambha, Dharma Stambha, Prema Stambha, Jnana Stambha. It is a Jyothi Creation, an Akhanda Jyothi Creation.

27 Chapter 6

'Mad God'

8 February 2012 Afternoon meditation Vasantha : Swami, will You sit on this cot? What is the difference? Swami : Before, I asked you to come to Vashista Cave. It was there you merged in Me as Pure Consciousness. Now you live in Suddha Satva and I am coming there to be with you. Vasantha : Swami, I want to see You physically. Swami : We talked together on Silver Island in the subtle body. After you came here, we spoke in the causal and super causal body. In Prema Sai Avatar house we speak in the divine body. Here we are in the Vaikunta body, Pure Consciousness body. Vasantha : Now I understand Swami. End of meditation

Now let us see about this. When I was in Vadakkampatti, Swami and I would speak to each other on Silver Island in the subtle body. When I came to Mukthi Nilayam, it was in the causal body. In the Prema Sai Avatar house, we spoke in the super causal and divine body. Now, here in my room, it is in the state of Pure Consciousness, the Vaikunta body. This is the reason for the coming Prema Sai Avatar and Sathya Yuga. Our feelings go out to the Garbha Kottam and then through the Stupi to the world. Vaikunta body means without a body. It is the state of Pure Consciousness. Swami and I descended from this state and came to demonstrate each state. We came to the world and demonstrated the physical, subtle, causal and super causal body state through our life. After changing the world (in the coming Prema Sai Avatar), we will live in our divine physical bodies. The reason for all is this body, which lives in Mukthi Nilayam. I am in the state of being 'a body without body'; this is the ‘I without i’ state. Swami is in the same state, the state of Pure Consciousness, where He stays here with me. We demonstrate this through our life. It is feelings alone that are the reason for birth. Thus, while in the physical body, if we focus all our feelings on God, we will never be reborn. It is the task of this Avatar, Swami, to show this. God has not come here to live physically; He lives through feelings and changes the world. Evening meditation Vasantha : I want to see You Swami! Swami : I am here. 28 Vasantha : It is enough if You give me physical darshan as You did in Vadakkampatti, give one darshan, it is enough. Swami : Why did I ask Agasthya...did you tell about this? Vasantha : No Swami, I do not know. Swami : What was the boon you asked from Agasthya before? You asked, ‘Swami should become as mad for me as I am for Him!’ This was the boon you asked for. It is this that I am now proving. His boon must come true. He gave sand that turned into gold. In the same way, I become mad for you and change the Kali Yuga’s sand into golden sand. Vasantha : What is this Swami? Swami : All is true. I am here. Vasantha : Swami, What is the blue sari? Swami : You wear this February 14. You now write all this and call it ‘Mad Swami’. Vasantha : No, no, Swami! I do not want! Swami : Okay call it ‘Agasthya’s boon’ End of meditation

Many years ago in a vision, I asked a boon from Sage Agasthya that Swami must be as mad for me as I am for Him. Out of the many different rishis, why did Swami call Agasthya and ask him how he gave wages at the time of the temple’s construction? Agasthya has done many things, why did Swami ask about this? The great rishi, drank the entire ocean, ate and digested the asura, Vatapi. He has done many incredible things; why did Swami choose this particular event? Now, Swami has said that all these are for fulfilling his boon. He gave the sand as wages, which turned into golden coins. Swami makes the Kali Yuga’s sand into gold. All this is due to His 'Prema madness' for me. Has any other Avatar ever done as He has? In truth all these things can only be done by one who is Prema mad. It is due to my boon, God Himself took all world karmas on His body and suffered. I asked Swami for some proof for this. In the evening, when we went to offer arathi in the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam, the entire sky was filled with cloud formations that looked like spinal columns, kundalinis. In another place, we saw the form of Krishna standing, His two hands raised and a peacock feather on His head. It was as though He was calling to all, ‘come, come for Mukthi. All come to the new Sathya Yuga!’ It was the same the next morning. There were spinal columns emerging from the Garbha Kottam and filling the entire sky. Pictures were taken. Then inside Swami’s room in the Garbha Kottam, there was an indentation on the sofa where Swami and I sit and talk. It looked as though two people had been sitting down and talking; one person was sitting and at the other end someone was leaning on the bolster. This is how Swami and I sit and talk. He sits at one end of the sofa, leaning on

29 the bolster, while I sit at His feet. It is this that I see in my visions of Swami. It is the same way that Mahavishnu leans on Adi Sesha and Mahalakshmi sits near, pressing His feet. When I asked for proof, Swami showed this in the photograph. This is our Vaikunta body. The story of Kannappa Nayanar takes place in the Kalahasti Temple. It was there, the ordinary hunter saw blood coming from the Shiva Linga’s eyes. He then took out his own eye and fixed it to the lingam. He then gave his other eye to Lord Shiva. Thus, his name became Kannappa Nayanar. In the same temple, Markendeya conquered death and became a Chiranjeevi. The temple was constructed by Sage Bharadwaja and Sage Bhrigu with Sage Agasthya giving sand as wages to all. This is why Swami told us to ask Nanjundaih Dixit to perform the Kumbha abhishekam for the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam, telling that he is the aspect of Sage Bharadwaja. In Kalahasti, the temple was built by Bharadwaja, the sand wages that turned into gold coins, given by Agasthya. Here, the Kumbha abhishekam was performed by the aspect of Sage Bharadwaja and Kali Yuga’s sand was changed into the golden sands of the Sathya Yuga, the Golden Age. Yesterday, Swami drew an S shaped Sushumna nadi on the new orange dhoti from His room in the Garbha Kottam. There was also vibuthi there. This indicates the Kaamadahana Creation. Inside the Kalahasti Temple, no one, not even the priests are allowed to touch the lingam. In the same way, a New Creation is now born from Swami. It is an Agni Creation untouched by anyone. It is has only touched God and nothing else. 9 February 2012 Meditation Vasantha : Swami, You said ‘Swami mad’, how? Swami : When Sita disappeared, Rama also disappeared. He did not come again. Sita left without the dishonor being removed from her name. Rama forgot He was Avatar and only remembered when He was told His task had finished. Laksmana entered the Sarayu River, followed by Rama. Radha disappeared and Krishna then also left His body. He did not come again to prove Radha was His Hladhini Shakthi. I also left My body without proving who you are. Yet, through your hue and cry, through your Prema, you bring Me back and prove it. I am also coming to break the Avataric fences. Vasantha : Now I understand Swami. I will write about this. End of meditation

Rama abandoned pregnant Sita in the forest and did not call her back again. Mother Sita handed Lava and Kusha to Rama and then disappeared in the earth. It was those from the celestial world who came to remind Rama who He was. Laksmana then entered the Sarayu River, followed by Rama. Krishna also did not reveal who Radha was. She left her body and then Krishna left His. The two of them left and did not return. Here, Swami left His body, but will come again in another body. All this is due to my hue and cry. Swami returns and breaks the fences that surround the Avatar. Rama, Krishna and Swami had many restraints limiting them. Swami now comes to break these fences and to show who I am to the

30 world. My wailing and tears bring back the Avatar, who has left the body. This is one angle of ‘mad Swami’. No other Avatar has done this before. My Prema became madness. As I could not attain Swami’s one form, I took a vow. All men in Creation should become Sathya Sai and all women should become Vasantha Sai and then marry. It is this extent of madness I have for Swami’s form. Swami is now proving it is the same for Him. It is for this alone that the Garbha Kottam has been constructed. Swami’s and my feelings unite inside the inner sanctum. From there, they function as the New Creation. Now, it is not the form of one Avatar, but the entire Creation fills with Avatars of Swami! It is very difficult to come as an Avatar. The extent of difficulty is seen through the lives of Rama, Krishna and Sathya Sai. How much they suffered! Due to the fences that surrounded them, they were not able to function beyond them. Swami and I now break all these fences. We balance the karmic accounts of mankind and bring a blissful New Creation, filled with happiness. This is something that has not been done by any Avatar before. This is how Agasthya’s boon is fulfilled. Swami wrote in the back of my song book: Do not find fault with others Do not be a James Bond, bond with Sai. Do not look at others and find fault with them. We should instead examine ourselves and look at our own faults and try to go beyond them. We should bind God with our love. Ever since I was a child, I poured out my feelings in songs and poems. As a result, I am able to bring the Avatar now. Through my Prema, Swami becomes mad like me. I looked inside the notebook to see if Swami had written any other message. There I saw Swami had made a mark with four fingerprints by a song I had written in 1980. Here is the song.

In this world No one knows my Prabhu Sai’s glories Come, come all! O brothers and sisters come! Mother Meera’s Prabhu is Parthi Shyam Prabhu Sai has come to redeem all from suffering In order to bring the world to heaven He has come as ten Avatars in one form Meera’s Prabhu is Giridhara Nagara Vasantha’s Prabhu Sai Manohara

Swami told before about ‘Prema Dakshina’. I have also written before telling that all are my gurus. For my Guru Dakshina, I will give my ‘I’, which is like the thumb that Ekalavya gave. I am only 31 able to give all in the world liberation as I do not have the ‘i’. In the same way, Swami has told He will give Prema Dakshina to me. For His Prema Dakshina, I want Him to change the world into Vaikunta. No one can know of Swami’s glories. I have been writing God’s glories in songs and poems since I was young. Now, I write all as books. I first came to know of Swami in 1975. At that time, I began to compose songs about Him. Before that, my songs had been to Krishna, as I did not know much about Swami, His devotees or His glories. All I had read was the first part of Swami’s biography, ‘Sathyam Shivam Sundaram’. How then did I know He was ten Avatars in one? It is only now I have written the book, ‘Ten Avatars in One’! How did I write, ‘Vasantha’s Prabhu is Sai Manohara’? I said then that Swami had come to take earth to heaven. Yet, Vaikunta has now descended here. All these thoughts and feelings arise in me naturally. In the previous song, I write that His only weapon is love. Unlike the previous Avatars, He did not come with bow, arrow and chakra. His only weapon is love. It was on this song that Swami put the single fingerprint. The other three prints are to indicate His Prema Dakshina and that He has become 'mad' for me. In how many different ways Swami shows His madness. Let us see. In the morning, during arathi inside the Vishwa Brahma Garbha Kottam, Eddy took a photograph. In the picture Fred’s hand is seen holding the arathi lamp. One flame is on the lamp, another on his hand. Beneath this is a jyothi in the form of a Shiva lingam on a Stupi shape base. It is floating in the air. Swami showed this to indicate just like the lingam in the Kalahasti Temple, no one can touch this Kaamadahana Creation.

Whenever we saw spinal column Chanting time What happened to sky You have no shy How you show your body In front of everybody I will give you blue sari O Cosmic womb Why you show scan of your womb All saw your scan All surprised We know one or two child Inside your womb a million Swamis

32 Today, I randomly opened a notebook full of my letters to Krishna. There, I found a letter written on June 25, 1984. (How many letters I have written! Can they be posted…?)

33 I wrote this letter 25 years ago and I had completely forgotten about it. It is only after I began doing research for this book that it resurfaced. All these letters have now become very old. I copied them into new notebooks and even these are tattered and torn. Today I opened a notebook and found this letter from 1986. As I read it, I could not control the flow of my tears. I realized that Swami is taking the Prema Sai Avatar in response to the feelings in this letter. The feelings for Him I am experiencing now, He will experience in the future. In Prema Sai Avatar, Swami will yearn for me, the way I yearn for Him now. He will want to talk to me and see me. 11 September 2008 Noon meditation Vasantha : Swami, why did I write such a letter? Is it like a curse? Is this Prema? Swami : This is the Prema, which I will repay by taking another Avatar. How you are thinking constantly of Me, melting and crying, I will be for you. I will be thinking of you, longing for your love. Vasantha : Swami I do not want this. Real Prema would never be like this. Swami : Now all your feelings should be expressed in words. Then alone the words will take form in reality. An Avatar is coming entirely to show reflection, reaction and resound for your feelings. Vasantha : Swami, how does God have reflection, reaction and resound? Swami : All is happening for the task of the Avatar. You should not say it is like a curse and that your words are vengeful. You have only told what you truly desire, so your desire will be fulfilled. End of meditation

I am always crying to Swami and asking, “Is this Prema a curse? Does it seek revenge? If it is pure love, why does it speak in this way?” Swami replied that the feelings should be expressed as words in order to come true.

34 Chapter 7

Sankhya Yoga (The Yoga of Knowledge)

(from the unpublished book Jnana Gita)

Sankhyam refers to the philosophical knowledge, which is contained in the scriptures. Yoga means to demonstrate through practice. Thus, one should practice and put into action that which is contained in the scriptures. This is practicing knowledge through action. It is not enough just to read books on philosophy. This will only give bookish knowledge. What is philosophical knowledge? It is the knowledge of the imperishable nature of the Atma, the perishable nature of the body and the performance of one’s ordained duties. These three constitute philosophical knowledge. If one body goes, another one will come. One must escape from the cycle of birth and death and attain the birth less state. Like Arjuna who was deluded, we face delusion each moment of our life. Sri Sathya Sai Baba says that the reason for this is our ego. If we remove the ego and become humble, we can find out the task before us and the path we have to follow. One should practice this philosophy of life and put it into action. If while performing an action the mind is preoccupied with the result, we will not be able to concentrate on the task at hand. We become lost imagining the benefits that will come to us through the action. However, if we surrender the fruits to God, our full attention will be on what we are doing. ‘Jnana Gita’, is not for those who are spiralling in the material world! I have already written ‘Sai Gita Pravachanam’, for those who are living in this way. It is theirs to go through and learn from. I am writing this for those who are not engaged in worldly life and have renounced all. However, I am not limiting this renunciation to sanyasis alone. It is also for those in family life who have renounced their attachment to it. I want to caution them that on the path they travel to God, they should also renounce the fruits of action and not pay attention to them. When we perform sadhana with intense devotion, respect, regard, appreciation and fame may come in search of us. This fruit should also be renounced, as it is also maya or illusion. One should not forget God by getting caught up in these. When this thought came to me, I prayed and cried to Swami, ‘I am only Your instrument, please take this name and fame! Let all go to You’. When we sacrifice all, more happiness comes to us. The joy we derive through such devotion is enough. I am experiencing

35 God every moment. This happiness is enough for me. What does it matter about the fruits of devotion? When I have Bhagavan Baba, that nectar in my hand, of what use is anything else? When God Himself has come as the fruit of my devotion, what else do I want or need? This is the secret of my sacrificing the fruits of action. Here is an example. When Uddhava went to Gokulam and spoke to Radha and other gopikas, he said, “Why are you lost in the form of Krishna, you must follow the path of wisdom!” It is in this way he preached a number of spiritual principles. He cautioned them that without wisdom, liberation was not possible. They replied, “This wisdom is beyond our understanding. We do not need this liberation, this heaven. It is enough if we are lost in the thought of Krishna.” They refused to give up thinking of Krishna and were even ready to sacrifice liberation! In truth, liberation is the joy of showering love on God. It is to this extent we should sacrifice the fruits of action. Arjuna asked Krishna, “Please tell me the qualities of the one who has renounced the fruits of action. How will he speak and act?” Krishna tells that such a person is a Sthitaprajna. He is the one who is firmly established in wisdom and who has control over his senses. Krishna tells, ‘like the tortoise that draws all its limbs into the shell when faced with danger, he is without involvement in sense objects. He withdraws his senses and engages them in the service of God. He directs his senses towards God alone and holy tasks. He is the one who has sacrificed all desires and remains in the blissful company of the Paramatma. He will be watchful every moment so that the senses do not go outward’. The mind of the Sthitaprajna is not disturbed in times of sorrow and he does not crave comfort. He is free from all hatred, fear and anger. How much I have suffered in my life. I have faced many illnesses, disregard, insults and humiliation; all I have had to face without any reason. Yet, I trained myself not to be affected by anything. What can happen when God is with you? Have we faced greater humiliation than Draupadi? I considered these events as an opportunity given to me by Swami to practice patience and forbearance. One should overcome all obstacles and challenges they face and keep the mind at peace at the lotus feet of the Lord. The one, who possesses equal-mindedness in both praise and blame, will have firm dispassion. Wisdom and dispassion are interrelated. When the fruits of action are sacrificed with dispassion, one attains wisdom. Dispassion is sacrifice. Only when one possesses a sacrificing nature, ready to forego all, can he overcome all obstacles and attain the goal. Krishna declares in the chapter on Sankhya Yoga: “Thinking of sense objects, man develops attachment for them; from attachment springs desire; unfulfilled desire causes anger. From anger arises delusion and from delusion, confusion of memory; from confusion of memory, loss of reason; and from loss of reason, he goes to complete ruin.” We must become like the mighty ocean, which is undisturbed by the merging rivers. Even if we are faced with countless desires, the mind of the humble sadhaka remains undisturbed. Such a man enjoys eternal peace. Now let us see about the fruits of sadhana that can become an obstacle for the Stitaprajna. As one goes higher and higher in sadhana, fruits begin to increase in return for our devotion. 36 Let us look at my life. When I was writing my first book, Swami revealed to me that I was Radha. I performed more sadhana in order to make myself eligible for this. Had I been satisfied in the delusion of ‘Radha’, my life would have ended in Vadakkampatti with the first book. However, I performed more sadhana and as a fruit of this Swami gave the post of Durga. It was at this time, many diseases, problems and karmas were overcome due to my prayers. Through this name and fame came in search of me. I pushed all away and did more sadhana. Swami told me that I was ‘Modern Parvathi’ and then said, “You are Mahalakshmi, the Mother of all Creation.” Yet, I pushed all away, dismissing them as mere posts. I performed sadhana saying, ‘I want only Swami’. If I had been attracted by any of these fruits, my sadhana would have come to an end. Desiring only God, I did more and more penance. Swami then asked me to remove my Mangalya while my husband was still alive and take sanyas. For the sake of God, I went beyond all scriptural dictates and renounced my Stree dharma, ignoring the rules and regulations of society and removed my Mangalya. I left all. Can such an event occur in the life of any woman? It was at these times when I was dishonored, when I faced heartache and sorrow and when posts like Durga came to me that I remained untouched. I did all for God and caught hold of Him alone. Later Swami said, “By refusing the fruits of your actions, your powers have increased. You will now have to come as Prema Sai.” I refused this also and cried to Swami that I will not come as an Avatar. Swami told me that He was bound to give fruits due to the power of my penance. I told Swami that I did not want such fruits and asked that He take all away from me and make me empty. Swami then asked me to offer all to Him. It is in this way I surrendered my nature, powers, myself, everything and gave all to Swami. I then became empty. Swami then revealed that He would now fill His Sathyam in this empty vessel. This is the ultimate height that all must reach. Until we attain this state, we must cut all fruits of sadhana with the sword of dispassion. God is attained in this way only. It is only through sacrifice and dispassion that we can become closer to God. There are some who reach higher states in sadhana and people are attracted to them due to the power of their penance. Slowly their name and fame will spread. Some may suggest they begin an organization. An organization may be formed using their name. We should also push all this aside with dispassion. Our goal is only to attain God. Our attention should remain fixed on that only. There are many different webs of illusion that will stop us progressing on the path. Name, fame, popularity are all webs of illusion. We should not get entangled in them. We should instead cut through them and go higher and higher on the path. Only through wisdom can we see God. Thus, contemplate, discriminate and analyze all with dispassion. An organization, name, fame and a group of followers will only end up in egoism. God is only attained when the ‘i’ ceases to exist. "A body is perishable, its end inevitable. Atma is eternal, it is indestructible." If this is clearly understood, then what is the need for this body and the consequences of its actions? What is the need for the fame, followers, glory and an organization? If there is one Atma residing in all, it is enough if we learn to love that one Atma. For example, on waking, all connection with our dreams disappear. It was not there before we slept and is again not there when we awake. 37 The world is also a dream, a waking dream. If we wake up from this illusion, we can know with certainty that we have no real connection with the body and those connected with it, our family, friends, etc. We are Atma and are different from this body. The Gita says that a jnani is one who is firmly established in Brahman. After having Atma Sakshatkaara, direct experience of the Self, he is unable to convey and describe the experience of Self. It is only the enlightened soul and those well-versed in the scriptures and who have fully understood the principle of the Supreme Being that can describe it. No one else can. It is only the one who has united with the principle of the Supreme Being that can explain the knowledge of the Self. Thus, dear aspirants, instead of venturing to explain to others, first try and realize yourself! What is our dharma? In the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna tells Arjuna that his dharma is the battle for dharma, so he must fight. This is the Mahabharata War. It is used to show the state of each individual. Our dharma is to battle for dharma. One should fight with the mind and establish Truth. Our Swadharma, our individual dharma is to become one with the Paramatma. One should make every effort in this battle. Every individual is bound by the good and bad impressions from his previous birth. In his present birth, he further binds himself through, ‘I and mine’, attachment, desire for the fruits of action and the consequence of the actions he performs in the present. When man sacrifices the fruit of actions, he is not affected by the dualities of life or the actions of past or present. When he discharges each action with skill and detachment, the power to generate fruits from the actions, of past, present and future is lost. Just as roasted cereals and grains cannot germinate, actions which are devoid of fruits, remove the bond from those actions. When Sri Krishna has taught this simple method in the Gita, why should we desire the fruits of our actions? Let us do sadhana giving our attention to that only. Our attention should not be diverted to name, fame and other things. A man may perform yagna for thousands of years; give charity, perform penance, visit holy places, observe fasts, etc. Yet he is not able to leave the vortex of human life. However, by observing his ordained duty, that which came to him naturally, with complete devotion, he can cross the ocean of worldly life. What can we understand from this? It must be understood that it is our state of mind that is more important than the action itself. Thus, those who are in the higher stages of sadhana should be very cautious. Why does Swami call the Sthitaprajna one who is established in the state of samadhi? It is because the question may arise whether he in the state of performing action or non action. However, he is in both states. Even when he performs action, he is in the state of inaction. The Sthitaprajna is one who is free from all desire. He has no desires in this world or the next. A sadhaka’s mind cannot become steady until he is free of desires. It is only when one becomes a Sthitaprajna can he be freed from the binds of karma. He is freed from the bonds of past, future and present karmas. Yet, one should not possess the desire to become a Sthitaprajna. For those who attain higher states of sadhana, there may be some who feel attracted towards them. An organization may even start to be

38 formed around them. As both can cultivate desire in the aspirant, they should be stopped before they begin. When there are no desires to experience through the five senses the object of desire automatically leaves. Yet, though the senses may be outwardly withdrawn, there may remain some deep desire within for things of pleasure. It is only when one has the vision of the Supreme Being will all desires cease to exist. ‘Rasavarjam Rasopyasya Param Drushtva Nivarthate’ One should have the vision of the Supreme. Until this time, it is of no use to do anything. Once one secures the grace to have the vision of the Paramatma, nothing else will be relished. This is the mark of a Sthitaprajna. In 'Sai Gita Pravachanam', I wrote the story of Pundalika as the example for the Sthitaprajna. Even if the sadhaka has a vision of God, he must continue his sadhana until his last breath. When I was writing my first book, Swami told me to stop all sadhana, He said, “After attaining the state of a perfected soul, where is the need for sadhana?” Yet, I did not stop. I told Him that I will continue sadhana until my last breath. So dear sadhakas, always be in the sadhaka state. We should not think we have attained the state of perfection. We should keep striving to remove the ‘i’. Once one attains clarity of mind, all sorrows are destroyed. The mind will be strongly established in God. The Gita declares of the Sthitaprajna, ... That which is night to all beings, in that state (of divine knowledge and Supreme Bliss), the self-controlled person keeps awake. And the ever changing worldly happiness in which all beings keep awake is night to the enlightened seer. For those who are in worldly life, they spend from morning to night running after worldly pleasures. They then take rest at night. The jnani does not go in search of worldly pleasures, which are like night for him. He is awake experiencing the joy and bliss of God realization. The 'Bliss of God' is like the day for a yogi. Worldly happiness is his night. For the ordinary man, worldly happiness is his day and divine happiness is night. Even at the time of death, the Sthitaprajna is firmly established in the Self and enjoys Bliss. Thus, he remains in the same state and attains Brahma Nirvana, the state of perfect happiness by merging with the Supreme Being. Jai Sai Ram.
