He will be serving as the USAKA marine engineer, responsible for the evaluation of the marine department, in the performance of maintenance, operation and technical planning for the 15 watercraft. He heard of Kwajalein from a former co- worker, and found there was an opening. Carpenter is looking forward to enjoying the smaller island life, especially fi shing in the waters in and around Kwajalein atoll.
