PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

 With special needs and special education students integrated into traditional classroom settings at a rapid rate, this program seeks to ensure that elementary education teachers have the tools necessary to respond to the needs of all students, manage inclusive classrooms and understand the challenges that are present for special education students.  The program is designed around four major themes: consultation and collaboration; inclusion and diversity; authenticity, and reflection, which are embedded within each course.  Fieldwork is a key component of the education program, but there is flexibility for those working full-time while attending graduate school.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS  Arcadia's Genetic Counseling program is one of 40 accredited programs in North America.  Clinical training is one of the program's greatest strengths, with individualized clinical opportunities at clinical genetics sites throughout the .  The program meets the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) for curriculum content, clinical experience and overall program design.  Received Full Accreditation for eight years from the ACGC in 2016.
