Hailing from the birthplace of Hip-Hop, the South Bronx, Fat Joe was destined for greatness. As a teenager, he was highly influenced and mentored by fellow Latino rapper Big Pun. In the 1990s, Fat Joe began as part of the rap group D.I.T.C., and signed to Relativity Records. In 1993, his debut album, Represent, was released, with the lead single, "Flow Joe," successfully peaking at number one on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart.
