1 2 Dedication We, the 1984 Senior Class of Hoosac School, dedicate this Yearbook to two individuals, whose hard work and incentive has kept us on our toes, and made it a great year . . .

Here's to Mr. Taylor - A man who deserves much credit for ~ the work he has put into Hoosac School to make it a better - place. Whether it's Science Hikes, Games, or Discipline Problems, Mr. Taylor has always been fair and given it his all.

And here's to Mrs. Bugbee-Harriss - A lady as tough as nails, but she always comes through in a jam. Her unfailing pa- - tience and sense of humor has steered us through many stormy waters. She's been there when we needed her, and we thank her for her time and energy.

Soccer, a Kick in the Fall

To start the new school year off with a kick we begin by blood, sweat and tears on the Soccer field. The sweat and blood was on our players and the tears belonged to Coach. Our illustrious Soccer team won one game and tied another.

Press Club

The 1983-84 School Year Press Club con sisted of two people, Mrs. Baker, and Wanda Wrzenski. Articles were written and proof read by Wednesday for most newspaper deadlines, and then printed in local newspapers: "THE ECHO," "THE CAM BRIDGE EAGLE," "THE BENNINGTON BANNER," "THE WASHINGTON POST" and "THE STANDARD PRESS." Music Club

A group of students that practice different types of music. The band consists of: two guitar players, a drummer and a piano player.

"The Owl" The Yearbook staff puts in many long, hard hours to produce a book of memories from 1983-84. The following people have worked hard to make this a fond memory: John Dooley - Editor, Mrs. Quirinale - Advisor, Rachel Gottenburg - Layouts, Vickie Stisher - Layouts, Holly McGrath - Typist, and Wan 22 da Wrzenski - Typist. Good Wishes from Father and Mrs. Dugger! 25 December • December • December • December • December • December • December • December • Yule Log '83 For some it was their first Yule Log; for others it was their econd or third. But, for all of the Seniors, it was their last. It was our last chance; our last chance for parts we wanted, but never had; our last chance to join in the tradition that was a major part of Hoosac's history. The Singing, Costumes, Make-up, Rehearsals, and the irntations were all part of the scene. There is a togetherness and a sharing that is part of Yule Log. All of the pettiness, shallowness and even unfairness that is part of a school year, somehow fades with the strains of the "Boars Head" ...

Winter Times at Hoosac

With the coming of the new year many new faces appeared along with new programs; such as the Fri day ski program at a nearby mountam. Although we all took lessons, many of us still fell down. Also in January we got our first and last snow day, and we all got together and built snow castles. Late in the month, under a full moon, the entire school worshipped the Senior class with a huge ban quet - The Bleeze Banquet - which also symbo lized the end of the Jester's Reign.

The Hoosac Basketball team dribbles for two hours a day before they even get to the Armory for practice! This is probably why the team did so well this year; they won three games and made it to the play-offs against Darrow High School.

While the boys were dribbling some of the other students were letting out their aggressions by aerobic dancing. Every afternoon the students gathered in the Dining Hall with Beverly White and "got physical."
