There is a chance of good amount of rainfall and this may result in waterlogging in the crop field along with high humidity along with warm condition. Under this prevailing weather and ground conditions, following advisories in respect of irrigation, application of fertilizer, pesticides and harvesting of standing crops. etc have been prepared and mentioned below.

Name of the Crop Agromet Advisories Boro Paddy Tillering to Panicle Initiation/Flowering stages Avoid irrigation, application of fertilizer and pesticides as rainfall occurred last few days and good amount of rainfall is expected during next 5 days. Clear the irrigation channel and drain out the excess water from the crop field Where seedlings are 90-110 days old apply last top dressing with urea and potash after the current spell of rainfall. At maximum tillering stage, start management of main field regarding all aspects like weed control after the current spell of rainfall There are chance of incidences of blast and brown spot diosease due to rising temperature and high humidity – Spray Nativo group of pesticide for control of blast disease after the current spell of rainfall Apply a mixture of Trycyclozole and Hexaconazole@2ml/liter of water at 10 days interval for control of brown spot after the current spell of rainfall - Use the rainfall for maintaining the water level up to 5-7 cm • As there is chance of high humidity it is advised to monitor the following pests and diseases incidences and if noticed in the field apply recommended pesticides after the current spells of rainfall . • Blight disease-Apply 60 gm potash fertilizer, 60 gm thiovit and 20gm zinc fertilizer with 10 liter water per 5 decimal . • Leaf folder. Spray Malathion/Fenitrothion group insecticides • Stem borer in rice. Soil and air temperatures are becoming favourable for the attack of stem borer in boro rice.Constant monitoring is required for its level of incidences. The pest may be identified and controlled by using light traps. The pest may also be controlled by spraying carbofuran/Cartap/Fipronil/Diazinon group of insecticide. The district received rainfall during last a few days but there is chance of light/trace rainfall during next five days. Under this conditions, following advisories are given below Name of the Crop Agromet Advisories Boro Paddy Tillering to Panicle Initiation/Flowering stages • Alternate wetting and drying maintain water level 5-7 cm upto the appearance of panicle. It is advised to use rainfall forecast while irrigating the field. • As boro cultivation is going on full swing, it is advised to monitor the incidences of other pests and diseases and take appropriate plant protection measures as advised by the upazila Agriculture Office or Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Wheat Harvest stage • Harvest the matured crop immediately. Maize Silky stage to cob formation ( Rabi). Vegetative stage ( Kharif 1) • It is advised to apply 2nd irrigation at 30-35 days old plant and also apply 350 gm urea per decimal as second top dressing to 40- 50 days old plant Apply 3rd irrigation to 60-70 days old plant • Weeding and earthing up operations may be continued. • Arrange thinning operations if the plants are in densely populated. • Maintain optimum moisture in the field through irrigation. There is also chance of modest amount of rainfall and this may result in further increase in soil moisture conditions and ultimately help in maintaining water level in the paddy field . Besides, warm and humid conditions will also prevail. Based on the above conditions following advisories in respect of irrigation, application of fertilizer, pesticides and harvesting of standing crops. etc have been prepared and mentioned below. Name of the Crop Agromet Advisories Boro Paddy Tillering to Panicle Initiation/Flowering stages Avoid application of fertilizer and pesticides as good amount of rainfall is expected during next 5 days. Where seedlings are 90-110 days old apply last top dressing with urea and potash after the current spell of rainfall. At maximum tillering stage, start management of main field regarding all aspects like weed control after the current spell of rainfall Blast and brown spot due to rising temp. And humidity – Blast disease . Spray Nativo group of pesticide after the current spell of rainfall Apply a mixture of Trycyclozole and Hexaconazole@2ml/liter of water at 10 days interval for brown spot after the current spell of rainfall -Keep the water level up to 5-7 cm using soil moisture condition and expected rainfall. • As there is chance of high humidity it is advised to monitor the following pests and diseases incidences and if noticed in the field apply recommended pesticides after the current spells of rainfall . • Blight disease-Apply 60 gm potash fertilizer, 60 gm thiovit and 20gm zinc fertilizer with 10 liter water per 5 decimal . • Leaf folder. Spray Malathion/Fenitrothion group insecticides • Stem borer in rice. Soil and air temperatures are becoming favourable for the attack of stem borer in boro rice.Constant monitoring is required for its level of incidences. The pest may be identified and controlled by using light traps. The pest may also be controlled by spraying carbofuran/Cartap/Fipronil/Diazinon group of insecticide. As boro cultivation is going on full swing, it is advised to monitor the incidences of other pests and diseases and take appropriate plant protection measures as advised by the upazila Agriculture Office or Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Wheat Harvesting stage • Postpone harvesting. Maize Silky stage to cob formation ( Rabi). Vegetative stage ( Kharif 1) • Apply 3rd irrigation to 60-70 days old plant. Where seedlings are 90-110 days old apply last top dressing with urea and potash after the current spell of rainfall. At maximum tillering stage, start management of main field regarding all aspects like weed control after the current spell of rainfall Blast and brown spot due to rising temp. And humidity – Blast disease . The district has already received rainfall which has increased the soil moisture level. In addition to that there is a chance of good amount of rainfall and this may result in immediate waterlogging in the crop field along with high humidity along with warm condition. Under this prevailing weather and ground conditions, following advisories in respect of irrigation, application of fertilizer, pesticides and harvesting of standing crops. etc have been prepared and mentioned below. Name of the Crop Agromet Advisories Boro Paddy Tillering to Panicle Initiation/Flowering stages Avoid irrigation, application of fertilizer and pesticides as rainfall occurred last few days and good amount of rainfall is expected during next 5 days. Clear the irrigation channel and drain out the excess water from the crop field Where seedlings are 90-110 days old apply last top dressing with urea and potash after the current spell of rainfall. At maximum tillering stage, start management of main field regarding all aspects like weed control after the current spell of rainfall There are chance of incidences of blast and brown spot diosease due to rising temperature and high humidity – Spray Nativo group of pesticide for control of blast disease after the current spell of rainfall Apply a mixture of Trycyclozole and Hexaconazole@2ml/liter of water at 10 days interval for control of brown spot after the current spell of rainfall - Use the rainfall for maintaining the water level up to 5-7 cm • As there is chance of high humidity it is advised to monitor the following pests and diseases incidences and if noticed in the field apply recommended pesticides after the current spells of rainfall . • Blight disease-Apply 60 gm potash fertilizer, 60 gm thiovit and 20gm zinc fertilizer with 10 liter water per 5 decimal . • Leaf folder. Spray Malathion/Fenitrothion group insecticides • Stem borer in rice. Soil and air temperatures are becoming favourable for the attack of stem borer in boro rice.Constant monitoring is required for its level of incidences. The pest may be identified and controlled by using light traps. The pest may also be controlled by spraying carbofuran/Cartap/Fipronil/Diazinon group of insecticide. The district has already received rainfall which has increased the soil moisture level. There is also chance of modest amount of rainfall and this may result in further increase in soil moisture conditions and ultimately help in maintaining water level in the paddy field . Besides, warm and humid conditions will also prevail. Based on the above conditions following advisories in respect of irrigation, application of fertilizer, pesticides and harvesting of standing crops. etc have been prepared and mentioned below. Name of the Crop Agromet Advisories Boro Paddy Tillering to Panicle Initiation/Flowering stages Avoid application of fertilizer and pesticides as modest amount of rainfall is expected during next 6 days. Where seedlings are 90-110 days old apply last top dressing with urea and potash after the current spell of rainfall. At maximum tillering stage, start management of main field regarding all aspects like weed control after the current spell of rainfall Blast and brown spot due to rising temp. And humidity – Blast disease . Spray Nativo group of pesticide after the current spell of rainfall Apply a mixture of Trycyclozole and Hexaconazole@2ml/liter of water at 10 days interval for brown spot after the current spell of rainfall -Keep the water level up to 5-7 cm using soil moisture condition and expected rainfall. • As there is chance of high humidity it is advised to monitor the following pests and diseases incidences and if noticed in the field apply recommended pesticides after the current spells of rainfall . • Blight disease-Apply 60 gm potash fertilizer, 60 gm thiovit and 20gm zinc fertilizer with 10 liter water per 5 decimal . • Leaf folder. Spray Malathion/Fenitrothion group insecticides • Stem borer in rice. Soil and air temperatures are becoming favourable for the attack of stem borer in boro rice.Constant monitoring is required for its level of incidences. The pest may be identified and controlled by using light traps. The pest may also be controlled by spraying carbofuran/Cartap/Fipronil/Diazinon group of insecticide. As boro cultivation is going on full swing, it is advised to monitor the incidences of other pests and diseases and take appropriate plant protection measures as advised by the upazila Agriculture Office or Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Maize Silky stage to cob formation ( Rabi). Vegetative stage ( Kharif 1) • Apply 3rd irrigation to 60-70 days old plant. It is advised to used the realized and rainfall forecast while irrigating the field. Hold the irrigation up to 7th April. • Weeding and earthing up operations may be continued after the current spell of rainfall. • Arrange thinning operations if the plants are in densely populated after the current spell of rainfall. . Jute Sowing Postpone sowing upto 7th April Groundnut Pod formation to Harvest stage • Prevailing weather condition are favorable for tikka leafspot in groundnut. To control spray with hexaconazol @2ml. or carbendazim @1 g. per litre of water after the current spell of rainfall.

Name of the Crop Agromet Advisories Boro Paddy Tillering to Panicle Initiation/Flowering stages • Alternate wetting and drying maintain water level 5-7 cm upto the appearance of panicle. • As boro cultivation is going on full swing, it is advised to monitor the incidences of other pests and diseases and take appropriate plant protection measures as advised by the upazila Agriculture Office or Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Green Gram Vegetative Stage Advise weeding for 25-30 days old crop. • There is a chance of incidences of cercospora disease. If found, spay 1 gm Carbendazyme group fungicide mixing with one litre water in 10 days intervals. • There is a chance of incidence of leaf rot disease. If found, apply 2 ml tebuconazole group fungicide mixing with 1 lite water • There is a chance of incidence of powdery mildew. If found, apply 1 ml propinazole group fungicide mixing with 1 lite water after the current spell of rainfall • Under warm & humid condition, there is a chance of incidences of thrips.
