It was absolutely fantasc to see the Indian Men’s Hockey Team return from their tours of Germany and Belgium unbeaten in March and then back that up with a fantasc performance against the Rio Olympics Gold Medallists Argenna in April. It was brilliant to see the Indian Women’s Hockey Team play their heart out against the World Number 3 side Germany in March as well. In the month of March, Hockey India successfully conducted the 11th Hockey India Sub Junior Women Naonal Championship 2021, 11th Hockey India Sub Junior Men Naonal Championship 2021, 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Women Academy Naonal Championship 2021 and 1st Hockey India Junior Women Academy Naonal Championship 2021. It was unfortunate that the Naonal Championships had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 in 2020 and therefore we were ecstac to organize Naonal-level tournaments by pung in the necessary protocols in place in three different states – Jharkhand, Haryana and Odisha. We would like to thank the organizing commiee of each of the Naonal Championships for carrying out a fabulous job of ensuring that all matches were held in a safe and secure environment. Hockey India also sanconed the 5th All India Rajmata Vijay Raje Scindhiya Women's Hockey Tournament and the 56th All India Veer Singh Ju Dev Memorial Hockey Tournament in the same month. Hockey India also conducted the Hockey India Coaching Educaon Pathway Level 'Basic' Coaching Course and Hockey India Coaching Educaon Pathway Level '2' Coaching Course 2021 in the month of March. The courses have tremendously helped the Hockey India Coaches learn some very important techniques in the sport. It has been appreciated to see the way the Asian Hockey Federaon (AHF) has helped our Coaches, Umpires and Technical Officials take big strides in their careers through the AHF Online Educaon Workshops each month. We look forward to many more workshops in the upcoming months. It’s been an excing two months for Hockey India. We will connue to put in all our efforts to ensure that the sport of hockey is evolving and growing in our country. 04 www.hockeyindia.org TOP HIGHLIGHTS Hockey India conducts Hockey India Coaching Indian Women’s Hockey Team end Germany tour Education Pathway Level 'Basic' Coaching Course with 1-2 defeat Aer the successful organizaon of the Hockey India Coaching Educaon Pathway Level 'Basic' Indian Women’s Hockey Team concluded The Indian Women's Hockey Team went Coaching Course (online) in September/ their tour of Germany with a 1-2 defeat in down 0-5, 0-1 and 0-2 in their first three October and December last year, and February the fourth and final match in Dusseldorf on matches of the tour. 2021, Hockey India once again called for 04 March 2021. applicaons of interested and aspiring Coaches to apply through an open forum and 40 slots were available for the online course, which was held on 12 March 2021.
