He served Lodge #96 AF & AM and was thrilled to be the tenor drummer as President of the Houlton Club from 1971-1972. Mike was Rotary for the Anah Highlanders. Mike spearheaded the club’s eff orts to District Governor from 1974-1975 being one of the youngest to serve restore the Boy With Th e Leaking Boot statue and wrote a history in that capacity. He was only the 2nd member to be recognized by about this iconic landmark that appears on the signage at Pierce the Houlton Club as a Paul Harris Fellow – the highest honor a club Park. He graduated from Houlton High in 1954 – the fi rst class to spend all four years at the current high school aft er it opened. Mike served in the Navy on both the Midway and Hornet aircraft carriers. His professional life included working at the family business, Houlton Farms Dairy, where he was instrumental in creating the ice cream division. He owned and operated M. A. Clark Men’s Clothing Store in downtown Houlton. Mike also worked in sales at a variety of local businesses. Mike left an indelible mark on the Houlton Rotary Club and the greater Houlton community. He will long be remembered for his service and commitment to both. We hope Mike’s spirit will be with us during this year’s Rotary Auction. Th anks for everything, Mike! We miss you!! J. The Greater Houlton community is so generous! For 65 years, we have relied on the support of our area businesses, organizations, farmers and individuals to provide the items that make the Houlton Rotary Auction happen.
