Welcome Rev. Dean Faulkner

Call to Worship Rev. Dean Faulkner Hosea 6:1-6

Celebrant: Come, let us return to the ; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.

People: Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.

Celebrant: ”What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew that goes early away.

All: For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifce, the knowledge of God rather than burnt oferings.”

Pastoral Prayer Rev. Dean Faulkner

Scripture Reading Pastoral Intern Kurt Witters Philippians 3:1-8a

Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.

Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the fesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confdence in the fesh— though I myself have reason for confdence in the fesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confdence in the fesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless. But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have sufered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

Reader: This is the Word of the Lord. Congregation: Thanks be to God.
