Chan took charge at Eastern in December, with the club not having won the Hong Kong league for 21 years, and last month the team clinched that elusive title and made their female coach the talk of the town. “I’m really lucky,” Chan said to SNTV. “Now I make his- tory and then no one think that will happen in Hong Kong. I have to say thanks to the club that they trust me, give me support and also player encourage me a lot this season.” Chan had impediments in her path: a family that was skeptical of her career choice, conservative views about women’s involvement in men’s sports, and her own anx- ieties about whether she could command authority with players who were often verbally- and occasionally phys- ically - aggressive. “When I was like, maybe, 13 years old, and I wanted to play football, my family didn’t allow it, because in Chinese culture, girls or woman shouldn’t play football, you should go to dance or you go to draw something, something like this,” Chan said. A couple of years after that knockback by her family, Chan forged her mother’s signature on a form to apply for a summer training program, and joined her local club at Sha Tin. The Seahawks or Super Bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks (SuperHawks) It took only thirty-eight years but we finally made it. The Seattle Seahawks have ended their drought and have won their first ever Super Bowl Championship in franchise history. The Seahawks began their inception to the NFL in 1976. The Seahawks originally played their games in the historic know blown up Kingdome and were part of the AFC West. The Hawks are the only team to have played in the AFC and NFC Championships. Four NFL Hall of Famers have come from the Seahawks, which include Steve Largent, Cortez Kennedy, Warren Moon, and Walter Jones. The Seahawks have won the eight division titles and two NFC Championships in 2005-2006 and this season in 2013-14. The first time the Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl the Pittsburgh Steelers trounced them in 2006. The final score to that game (Super Bowl XL) was 21-10 in favor of the Steelers. The loss to the Steelers was devastating to the city of Seattle, and it proved the fact that every major Seattle team collapses in the big game. The other major sports team to have won a Championship title was the Seattle Sonics in 1979, but since then they have been relocated to Oklahoma City and are now the Thunder.

Optimizing the Allocation of Funds of an NFL Team under the Salary Cap, while Considering Player Talent Abstract Every NFL team faces the complex decision of choosing how to allocate salaries to each position while being limited by the salary cap. In this paper, we use regression strategies to focus on identifying what positions are worth greater investment under the assumption that players are paid in an efficient market. Using a combination of many univariate regression models, we identify that the positions at which it is worth investing in elite players are quarterback, guard, defensive tackle, and free safety. Additionally, we consider the possibility that markets are not actually efficient through separate regressions and detect that the optimal way to take advantage
