Sing praise, sing praise. Sing praise, sing praise. Chorus

Confession and Forgiveness of Sins Pastor: Our God is faithful and strong. Our God is with us, and He is good. He has never broken a promise, never betrayed a trust, never lied. He gives generously without repayment, speaks lovingly to those who wrong Him. He sets aside His dignity and well-being and bends

down to meet the lowliest, the poorest, and the most badly broken.

In short, God is perfect. He is the very definition of “good.”

It’s a humbling thing to stand before someone who is perfect. All of our mistakes and imperfections stand out. It reminds us that we are unworthy of His love, unworthy to be

called His servants, much less His children.

But God our Father doesn’t leave us in our sin. He invites us to embrace that humility, to acknowledge our sinfulness, and fall on His mercy. So let’s take a moment to examine our

hearts and admit our sins to God.

People: Dear Heavenly Father, I’m sorry for all of my mistakes. I’ve sinned against you and the people around me in countless ways - some I’m not even aware of. But You are. For Jesus’s sake, forgive me. Help me to live out Your goodness in my life, so that

others may know that You are a truly good God. Amen.

Pastor: Brothers and sisters, God has heard your prayer. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live for you, to die for you, and to rise again for you to take away all of your sins. As Jesus’ servant in this place, at His command and with His authority, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our Statement of Faith: The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen!

The Words of Institution Pastor: The peace of the Lord be with you all. People: And also with you.

Should I Receive Communion Today?

Christ commands us saying, “Do this in remembrance of Me.” Forgiveness, life, and salvation are truly offered to all who eat the Lord’s body and blood in the Sacrament, but only through faith can we receive the blessings offered there.

Therefore, we should ask ourselves these questions to personally examine our hearts before communion: ++Do I believe in Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior from sin? ++Do I repent of all my sins in thought, word, and action? ++Do I believe that I receive the very true body and blood of Jesus Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine? ++Do I rely on Jesus’s promise that all my sins are forgiven as I receive this Holy Supper? ++Do I believe that I am one with my fellow communicants in accepting all of Jesus’ teachings? ++Will I rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to change my sinful life?

Chorus: Christ alone. Cornerstone. Weak made strong in the Savior’s love. Through the storm, He is Lord. Lord of all.

When darkness seems to hide His face. I rest on His unchanging grace. In ev’ry high and stormy gale. My anchor holds within the veil. My anchor holds within the veil. Chorus

I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like But I’ve heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night And You tell me that You’re pleased and that I’m never alone.

Chorus: You’re a good, good Father, It’s who You are, it’s who You are, it’s who You are And I’m loved by You It's who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am.

Oh and I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide, But I know we’re all searching for answers only You provide Cause You know just what we need before we say a word. Chorus 2x Because you are perfect in all of Your ways You are perfect in all of Your ways You are perfect in all of Your ways to us. (repeat)

Oh, this love so undeniable I, I can hardly speak Peace so unexplainable I, I can hardly think As You call me deeper still As You call me deeper still As You call me deeper still Into love, love, love Chorus 3x You are perfect in all of your ways You are perfect in all of your ways

The Communion Blessing

Prayer of Thanksgiving Pastor: We give thanks to You, almighty God, that You have refreshed us through Your Means of Grace. Now that we are fed and forgiven, deliver us from every evil, teach us to love You and others the way that You do, and help us to grow in faith and fellowship to do the good You prepared for us to do; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit now and forever. People: Amen.

Today’s Reading: Romans 8:26-30 26 L ikewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the 27 Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. A nd he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, f or those who are called 29 according to his purpose. F or those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image 30 of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. A nd those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

Our Prayer for the Church of Jesus Christ Pastor: Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus and for all people according to their

needs.

Pastor: Almighty God of love, You are holy and worthy to be loved with all our heart, soul, and mind. We give You thanks for the many blessings for our lives now and eternally, which are not deserved but that You give out of Your perfect love. Lord in Your mercy,

People: Hear our prayer.

Pastor: Good Father, though our love is imperfect and often conditional, Yours is perfect and always unconditional. As You call, gather, and enlighten us together by Your Spirit, we bring our burdens of sin, our guilt of wrong, our trials of this life, and troubles we face to Your holy presence, that we find our rest and receive all good things from Your gracious hand. Lord in Your mercy,

People: Hear our prayer.

Pastor: God of mercy and grace, we ask You to move in the lives of those who are burdened with affliction of body, soul, and mind. We bring before You those whom we know that are in any kind of need, [especially. . .]. Give hope to the hopeless, comfort to the grieving, and peace to the dying. Lord in Your mercy,

People: Hear our prayer.

Pastor: Heavenly Father, You give us all we need for this body and life, and we pray for remembrance that all things come from Your hand. Continue to guide and direct those in authority over us that they may work for justice, mercy, and the common good. Grant safety to all who serve to protect and keep our communities safe. Lead us each day with Your Word to love You and to love our neighbors as ourselves, living as lights in this dark world that others know Your love now and forevermore. Lord in Your mercy,

People: Hear our prayer.

Pastor: Into Your hands we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in You through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. People: Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and power and the glory forever ever. Amen.

The splendor of the King, clothed in majesty; Let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoice. He wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide,

And trembles at His voice, and trembles at His voice.

Chorus: How great is our God! Sing with me: How great is our God!

And all will see how great, how great is our God!

And age to age He stands, and time is in His hands; Beginning and the End, Beginning and the End. The God-head, three in one, Father, Spirit, Son, The Lion and the Lamb, the Lion and the Lamb.

Chorus

Name above all names, worthy of all praise. My heart will sing: How great is our God! (Repeat) Chorus 2x
