41 Road Safety • Be alert and watch out for cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians • New cycling infrastructure will improve safety for all road users. • Drive with caution through areas where new infrastructure has been installed. • If an Emergency Vehicle approaches from behind, slow down, move over to the closest side of the road, and stop. • Road users must to yield to OC Transpo buses when they signal their intent to turn or change lanes. • For collisions that do not involve injuries or criminal violation and where the vehicle is drivable, move out of the roadway and report to a Collision Reporting Centre within 24 hours. Road safety is a shared responsibility and all road users need to do their part.
