Location

Brynmill is the main student area in the city. This property is part of a small square close to the local primary school and is no more than a few minutes’ walk from local shops and amenities, including the well-known Rhyddings Hotel.

You have a choice of good shopping in easy walking distance, either in the busy Brynymor Road and St Helens Road area, where you can find a mixture of restaurants, take-aways, pubs and convenience stores, or in Uplands which offers you Tesco and Sainsbury's and another mix of places to eat and drink. The sea front of Swansea Bay is a short walk from the house. There is a bus stop in nearby Marlborough Road for the no. 9 service to Uplands and the city centre.

Distance from Swansea University

Car - 0.9 miles, a drive of a few minutes west along Canterbury road, turn left at the end on to Langland terrace and follow this road down to the roundabout with Brynmill Lane. Take the second exit on to Brynmill lane and then turn right at the traffic lights on to the Mumbles Road.

Walk - 0.6 miles. The university is a 10 minute walk away. Go west to the bottom of the road and then turn right up Langland terrace. Follow the road until you reach the corner shop at the junction with Brynmill lane. Take the pedestrian crossing into and you can see the University a few hundred yards away. Take the path across Singleton Park to the Singleton Abbey entrance to the University.

Car - Just over 2 miles, or 8 minutes. Head west to the junction with Langland terrace and take a right. Follow the road to the top where you will hit the junction with Brynmill lane. Here you should turn right, then follow the road to the top where you will meet the T junction with the A4118 road. Turn right here and head towards the city. Stay on this road for 1.1 miles to the junction with Mount Pleasant (opposite the police station and the Dynevor campus building). Turn left here and the Mount Pleasant campus is 200 yards up on the right hand side.

Walk - 1.7 miles or a walk of just over half an hour. Go east along the road and turn left up De Breos street. Skirt round the school along Waterloo place. at the end of this, you will see the Rhyddings hotel. Go up Brynmill avenue and then right on to Marlborough road. Follow Marlborough road for 0.1 miles until you reach Bernard street. Turn left up Bernard street and walk until you reach the junction with Glanbrydan avenue. Take a right here and follow the road up to Uplands. When you reach the shops here, you can take a right on to the main road (Uplands crescent). The road from here to the University is a straight walk along Walter road until you reach the Mount Pleasant junction opposite the police station. Turn left here to reach the campus which is 200 yards up the hill on the right hand side.
