21 22 Congratulations to the 2009 Good Egg Award Recipients

The Park Forest Commission on Human Relations is pleased to announce Alfreda Keller and Sherry Marnell of Park Forest as recipients of the 2009 Good Egg Award. This year’s winners were recognized on Monday, September 14th during a ceremony before the Mayor and Board of Trustees at Village Hall.

The Good Egg Award recognizes leadership and community service that has had a significant impact on fostering inter-group relations and equal opportunity in the South Suburbs. In 1973 the first award was bestowed on the late Harry Teshima, who laid the groundwork that ultimately attracted the first African- American families as residents of Park Forest.

The Village of Park Forest is proud to be a community comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and interests who are relentless in their pursuit to make Park Forest and the South Suburbs an even better place to live.
