Adolescent Self-Harm Team This service offers early intervention psychological services. Psychosocial mental health risk assessment and therapeutic intervention is provided to young people who have self-harmed, and their families. The service works with young people aged 12-17 years admitted to District General Hospitals (DGH) following an act of self-harm or presenting at A&E Department. The Adolescent Self Harm (ASH) Team operates an on-call assessment service, 9.30am - 5pm, 365 days a year to A&E departments of District General Hospitals including Royal for Sick Children.

Nurse Therapists are available every morning to assess young people admitted to DGH receiving wards. Intervention work is carried out by ASH between the hours of 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Referrals are accepted from A&E Departments, District General Hospitals and Community Mental Health Teams. 5

9 Child and Adolescent Mental Health - Direct Access Service The service provides early therapeutic intervention for young people with mild to moderate mental health problems using brief focussed approaches. The team work directly on a one-to-one basis in a setting where the young person feels comfortable. They also work indirectly offering consultation, advice, training and support to other services. This service works with young people age 12-17 years who are having problems in the way they are thinking, feeling or behaving. Child and Adolescent Mental Health - Learning Disability Service Learning Disability CAMH is a multi-disciplinary community based service working directly with young people, their families or carers or in consultation with other agencies involved with a young person. The team provides assessment, therapeutic work and interventions to young people, and management advice to parents and other carers.

Referrals are usually received from GPs, health visitors, hospital and community paediatricians, school health service, social workers, educational psychologists, teaching staff, child and adolescent mental health staff and specialist medical services. T: 0141 277 7515

Child and Adolescent Mental Health - Looked After and Accommodated Children This service provides an early intervention service comprising of routine psychological assessment of children who have become accommodated, and consultation and clinical services for those who require a mental health assessment or intervention. The service works with children and young people who are accommodated by their local authority and with those caring or working with accommodated children and young people. Referrals are accepted from social workers, education psychologists, GP’s, community child health services and other specialist medical services. Skye House Lewis, Harris and Mull Wings - Skye House provides inpatient treatment for young people with conditions like severe depression, eating disorders, psychosis and obsessive-compulsive disorders. - In addition to all the bedrooms at Skye House being en-suite, there is a purpose-built gym, fully equipped classrooms, landscaped gardens and overnight accommodation for visiting families. - Skye House has been specially designed and purpose-built to meet young people’s needs and leading to substantial improvements in their care and treatment. The planning of the unit also benefited from the fact that the young people themselves contributed significantly to the planning process. - While young people are in Skye House, they will go to school, therapy groups, family sessions and individual sessions. Young people will also have time to do things that they want to do. - Every week, young people will get a timetable for the next week.
