Previous meetings • The two sides met for the first time in UEFA competition on matchday three; it was also Skënderbeu's first match against Serbian opponents. • Partizan's only tie against an Albanian team prior to that Elbasan encounter had come in the first round of the 1987/88 UEFA Cup, when they went out to Flamurtari after losing 2-0 away and winning 2-1 at home. Form guide • Partizan's draw at Skënderbeu was their fifth in nine European games this season (W2 L2). • The Belgrade club have won only one of their last seven UEFA matches in the Serbian capital (D2 L4), most recently surrendering a two-goal half-time lead to lose 3-2 at home to Dynamo Kyiv on matchday two. • Skenderbëu have lost two of their five European away matches this season (W1 D2), including their opening fixture of the group stage – a 3-1 defeat at Dynamo Kyiv. • Serbian league and cup winners in 2016/17, Partizan have reached the UEFA Europa League group stage for the fifth time in the competition's current incarnation, but are yet to progress to the round of 32. • Albanian Cup runners-up last term, Skënderbeu were the first Albanian side to contest a major UEFA group stage when they featured in the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League. They finished bottom of their section with three points (W1 L5). Trivia and links • The journey from Elbasan, where Skënderbeu are playing their European home games, to Belgrade is around 690km. • Skënderbeu are one of three teams to have reached the UEFA Europa League group stage having begun their campaign in the first qualifying round; Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Partizan's city rivals Crvena zvezda are the others. • Skënderbeu goalkeeper Orges Shehi is the ninth player over the age of 40 to have played in the UEFA Europa League and the oldest participant so far in this season's competition. • Suspended for next match if booked: Ognjen Ožegović, Zoran Tošić and Leandre Tawamba (Partizan); Gledi Mici (Skënderbeu). The coaches • Appointed in January 2017, Ilir Daja led Skënderbeu to the Albanian Cup final, which they lost to KF Tirana, and then steered them into this group stage. A former midfielder with Tirana, he has guided Elbasan and Dinamo Tirana to domestic championships as a coach. • Miroslav Djukić was assigned a second stint as Partizan coach in June 2017, having occupied the helm in 2007. The 48-times capped Yugoslavia sweeper played in Spain with Deportivo and Valencia, and spent much of the last decade coaching there too. 3 FK Partizan - KF Skënderbeu Thursday 2 November 2017 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit Stadion FK Partizan, Belgrade Team facts FK Partizan Formed: 1945 Nickname: Crno-beli (Black-and-Whites) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • European Champion Clubs' Cup: (1966) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 27 (2017) Yugoslavian/Serbian Cup: 14 (2017) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: second qualifying round 2015/16: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2014/15: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2013/14: play-offs (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2012/13: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2011/12: play-offs (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2010/11: UEFA Champions League group stage 2009/10: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2008/09: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2007/08: first qualifying round Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Partizan v Rhyl 21/07/09, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg • Biggest away win 1-6: Zrinjski v Partizan 19/07/07, UEFA Cup first qualifying round first leg 0-5: Slavia Sofia v Partizan 12/10/88, UEFA Cup first round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-4: Partizan v Beşiktaş 23/10/14, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 5-0 on three occasions, most recently v Dinamo Zagreb 30/07/97, UEFA Champions League first qualifying round second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 5-0 twice, most recently v Slavia Sofia 07/09/88, first round first leg • Biggest away win 1-6: Zrinjski v Partizan (see above) 0-5: Slavia Sofia v Partizan (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-4: Partizan v Beşiktaş (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 5-0: Videoton v Partizan 28/11/84, UEFA Cup third round first leg KF Skënderbeu Formed: 1909 Nickname: Bardhekuqtë (The White and Reds) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • None 4 FK Partizan - KF Skënderbeu Thursday 2 November 2017 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit Stadion FK Partizan, Belgrade Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 6 (2015) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2015/16: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2014/15: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2013/14: play-offs (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2012/13: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2011/12: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2009/10: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: did not take part in UEFA club competition Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 4-1: Skënderbeu v Crusaders 14/07/15, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first leg 3-0: Skënderbeu v Sporting CP 05/11/15, UEFA Europa League group stage • Biggest away win 0-5: Sant Julià v Skënderbeu 06/07/17, UEFA Europa League first qualifying round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Skënderbeu v Lokomotiv Moskva 10/12/15, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 5-1: Sporting CP v Skënderbeu 22/10/15, UEFA Europa League group stage 4-0: APOEL v Skënderbeu 20/07/11, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 3-0: Skënderbeu v Sporting CP (see above) • Biggest away win 0-5: Sant Julià v Skënderbeu (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Skënderbeu v Lokomotiv Moskva (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 5-1: Sporting CP v Skënderbeu (see above) 5 FK Partizan - KF Skënderbeu Thursday 2 November 2017 - 19.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit Stadion FK Partizan, Belgrade Squad list FK Partizan Current season All-time UCL QUAL UEL League UEL UEFA No. Player Nat.
