  • Nonprofit Security Grant Program Threat Incident Report
Nonprofit Security Grant Program Threat Incident Report: January 2019 to Present November 15, 2020 (Updated 02/22/2021) Prepared By: Rob Goldberg, Senior Director, Legislative Affairs [email protected] The following is a compilation of recent threat incidents, at home or abroad, targeting Jews and Jewish institutions (and other faith-based organization) that have been reported in the public record. When completing the Threat section of the IJ (Part III. Risk): ▪ First Choice: Describe specific terror (or violent homegrown extremist) incidents, threats, hate crimes, and/or related vandalism, trespass, intimidation, or destruction of property that have targeted its property, membership, or personnel. This may also include a specific event or circumstance that impacted an affiliate or member of the organization’s system or network. ▪ Second Choice: Report on known incidents/threats that have occurred in the community and/or State where the organization is located. ▪ Third Choice: Reference the public record regarding incidents/threats against similar or like institutions at home or abroad. Since there is limited working space in the IJ, the sub-applicant should be selective in choosing appropriate examples to incorporate into the response: events that are most recent, geographically proximate, and closely related to their type or circumstance of their organization or are of such magnitude or breadth that they create a significant existential threat to the Jewish community at large. I. Overview of Recent Federal Risk Assessments of National Significance Summary The following assessments underscore the persistent threat of lethal violence and hate crimes against the Jewish community and other faith- and community-based institutions in the United States.

Fitchburg Art Museum in Partnership : with Fitchburg State University Presents: February 9 - June 1, 2014 Table of Contents 1 Foreword 3 Acknowledgments 5 A Word From The Artist 7 Introduction 9 JeFFu’s FFantastic FFunhouse Exploring Galleries 13 Experimental Performance 23 Playing With Your Food 51 Falling Into A Digital Paradise 19 Rethinking The Motion Picture 91 Exhibition Checklist 95 Biography 103 Bibliography Foreword: Jeffu Warmouth: NO MORE FUNNY STUFF is the first solo exhibition in the Fitchburg Art Museum’s new series of shows devoted to contemporary New England artists. It’s fitting – and important – to begin with Jeffu, because he is Fitchburg’s best-known contemporary artist. His work has been shown across the United States, and abroad, and he has been a vital participant in the regional visual arts community for two decades. This exhibition also reflects the deepening relationship between AMF and Fitchburg State University as we work together to create enhanced artistic and educational experiences for Fitchburg State students and FAM’s audience. A show as complex as Jeffu Warmouth: NO MORE FUNNY STUFF would have been impossible for FAM to achieve alone. Fitchburg State contributed the hard work and creativity of its faculty and students in myriad ways, provided technology and IT support, and invested funds in the exhibition. In return, their students enjoyed a real professional challenge while developing career-boosting portfolio materials. This pilot collaboration worked so well, that it will be continued for future shows at FAM. I would like to thank Fitchburg State President Robert Antonucci for his generosity of spirit and resources, and Professor Rob Carr for his vision and passion.

Matthew R. Segal, Legal Director Ruth A. Bourquin, Senior Attorney (617) 482-3170 [email protected] [email protected] November 28, 2017 Via Email and First Class Mail Samuel J. Lieberman Sadis Goldberg, LLP 551 Fifth Avenue, 21st Floor New York, New York 10176 Re: Camilo Caballero Dear Mr. Lieberman: We write on behalf of our client, Camilo Caballero, in response to your letter dated November 21, 2017, threatening a defamation lawsuit against Mr. Caballero on behalf of your client Anthony Scaramucci. Your letter cites, as grounds for this threat, two “op-eds” Mr. Caballero published with The Tufts Daily, in which Mr. Cabellero expressed his opinion that Mr. Scaramucci should be removed from the Board of Advisors of Tuft University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. We respectfully submit that Mr. Scaramucci’s litigation threat is without merit. Indeed, it may raise serious legal questions under Massachusetts law, including under the Massachusetts Civil Rights Act. Accordingly, and as explained more fully below, we ask that you and your client withdraw this threat of litigation and that Mr. Scaramucci continue to respond to Mr. Caballero’s constitutionally- protected opinions about him in other ways consistent with constitutional protections, such as his open letter to the students and faculty of the Fletcher School posted on Twitter on November 27. Background Camilo Caballero is a graduate student at the Fletcher School, where he is a Thomas Pickering fellow of Foreign Affairs. As a student at the Fletcher School, Mr. Caballero has expressed opinions via op-ed pieces for The Tufts Daily, the university’s student-run newspaper.
