City of Light by Morgan Sproxton Hull Truck’s first community play. An HT commission. Morgan Sproxton is one of HT’s Creative Associates. Director Mark Rees HT’s contribution to Freedom Festival 2012 2 weeks August 2012

The Kitchen Sink by Tom Wells Regional premiere of hit 2011 play by Hull writer Tom Wells Wells won the Critic’s Circle ‘Most Promising Playwright’ Award in 2011 and is now an HT Associate . 3 weeks October/November 2012

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Remount of Bolton Octagon Xmas show 2011 Directed by Elizabeth Newman 6 week run Dec 2012/Jan2013

HT have initiated a project for Hull University Drama students to produce Anthony Minghella’s Whale Music, originally written for Hull University students whilst Minghella was teaching in Hull.

Creative Learning Activity Community Engagement Youth Theatre – ages 11-18 Adult Drama, ages 18-55 Act lll drama group, ages 55+ (30 members) Young People with disabilities (6 special schools in Hull) Adults with disabilities (3 drama groups of 10 members each) Community Choir (40 members) Youth Dance (15 members) Schools (up to 40 performances in schools annually)

Productions include: Large-scale Community play City of Light Youth Theatre productions x 2 Youth Dance x 2 Young Playwrights Festival Promenade performance as part of Children’s Festival NHS funded play for primary schools, Don’t Just Sit There by jane Thornton Sensory project for young people with learning difficulties Summer outdoor production in the grounds of (Fantastic Mr Fox)

Frantic Assembly – Ignition Working with 30 young men in Hull over 3 years to channel aggressive behaviour into creative physical expression, reduce potential for crime and increase employment opportunities.
