YOU NEVER FORGET YOUR FIRST Cedric Paquette made his Hurricanes debut vs. CBJ (2/15). He was acquired from Ottawa along with Alex Galchenyuk in exchange for Ryan Dzingel on 2/13. Before joining Carolina, Paquette recorded 87 points (49g, 38a) in 395 NHL games with OTT and TBL and posted three assists in 25 playoff games to help the Lightning win the in 2019-20. Jake Bean tallied two assists on Monday, marking his first two career NHL/Hurricanes points. GINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER Brock McGinn scored two goals vs. CBJ (2/15), with his first marking his 100th career NHL/Hurricanes point. His four points (2g, 2a) also tied his career high for points in a single game (1/14/17 at NYI: 1g, 3a). He is now tied with Nino Niederreiter for the team lead in goals this season, with all seven of his goals coming in his last eight games. McGinn has tied his goal total from 2016-17 (57 GP) and 2019-20 (68 GP), and it has taken him 28 fewer games to reach seven goals than in 2017-18, when he scored a career-high 16.
