The Selection Process

1. The deadline for nominations is May 1st.

2. Any individual or association may submit a nomination with the following exceptions: • A current member of the British Columbia Football Hall of Fame committee may not submit a nominee • A member of the British Columbia Football Hall of Fame Board of Directors may submit a nomination but if the Trustee submits a nomination, that Trustee may not vote on the nomination if and when it is brought to the Board of Trustees for approval. • Each nomination is valid for three consecutive years.

3. The Selection Committees will then meet to review and decide upon the various nominations and make their recommendations to the Board of Directors. The eventual inductees in each category will be available to the media and general public in September annually.

Athlete: • Any athlete (able bodies or an athlete with a disability) who has attained a high level of excellence and brought recognition or honour to British Columbia football on a provincial, national or international level. • Amateur: CEO (a) An amateur player must have shown extensive involvement in amateur Tom Malone football as a player and shown outstanding and extraordinary success as that player. The qualities of character, playing ability; the player’s contribution to his/her team; contribution to the game of football in general, shall be considered in selecting candidates. TRUSTEES (b) Player must not have participated as a player within the three (3) year period preceding the meeting of the Selection Committee. George Chayka George Oswald 2. Professional: Bernie Pascall (a) Any person who has played a minimum of five (5) years of professional Jamie Pitblado football and has achieved outstanding and extraordinary success as a Larry Reda player. The qualities of character, playing ability, and the player’s contribution to his/her team; contribution to the game of football in general, shall be considered in selecting a candidate. 5. Media • Attained a high level of excellence and made a significant contribution to the enjoyment or football in British Columbia through the medium of print, radio, television, or any similar form of medium.

6. Team: • Attained a high level of excellence and brought recognition or honour to football in British Columbia at a national or provincial level. Team members are recognized as part of a team and not as an individual Honoured member.
