September 20, 2020 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time • 16th Sunday after Pentecost

Join Us for Mass & Adoration

Due to capacity restrictions, sign-up is required for attendance at all Masses. Our current capacity is limited to 50 people. To choose a Mass time in the coming week, or to sign up for Adoration next Thursday, please visit our sign-up page HERE.

In addition, we are requesting everyone follow a few simple courtesies when signing up: If you were able to attend a Saturday evening or Sunday Mass last weekend, please consider choosing a weekday Mass next week to allow others the opportunity to attend Mass over the coming weekend. The 8:00 AM Mass each Monday will be designated for those parishioners who may be more vulnerable or at higher risk and masks are required by all, no exceptions will be permitted. Each person may sign-up for one Mass per week to allow all parishioners the opportunity to attend. If throughout the week there are still open slots within 24-hours of a Mass' scheduled start time, you may then sign-up for that additional Mass as well. Please note that there remains no Sunday Mass obligation while attendance is limited.

Facilities Repair Update: Church Windows

A couple months back we shared a capital improvement update highlighting the major repairs that have been completed to date on the Church and School. We also detailed some of the projects to come, including the current work being done to the Church windows.

The work on the windows was to reseal them, ensuring they are leak-proof, before beginning work on the plaster repairs. What our contractor discovered was that the wood underneath and surrounding many of the windows has rotted away, and the wood must be replaced completely.

Not only does this expand the amount of work to be done, but also increases the costs significantly. Which is why the Maintenance Collection for October will be designated as the "Church Window Collection". Meaning 100% of funds collected for the maintenance fund next month will go directly towards repairing our windows. We look forward to completing these necessary repairs to our Church in order to return her to her full beauty.

St. Anne Sodality Meeting & Holy Hour

The St. Anne Sodality will be gathering this Thursday, September 24th, for their quarterly meeting and monthly Holy Hour.

Fr. Nathan will be joining us at our meeting, which will begin at 6:00 PM at the St. House. At the meeting we will discuss the future ideas and expectations of the Sodality, draft a constitution, identify the duties of the board, and elect new officers.

Afterwards, at 7:00 PM, we will go to the Church for our Holy Hour, private prayer, pray the Rosary and the St. Anne Litany together, and confessions will be available. Here is your chance to have input into the future of the new St. Anne Sodality. We hope you will join us this Thursday!

Thank You for Wearing Your Mask

As part of the phased reopening across the Archdiocese of Chicago, each Parish must be certified to reopen and return to Mass. A major component of that reopening is abiding by the rules and regulations put forth by the Archdiocese and the State of Illinois, including the use of PPE.

Masks are required at Mass in order for St. Peter's to remain open. Please make sure that you are wearing a mask if you are able to do so.
