Fethard's 28th Title

Fethard are going for their 28" South Title (I" in 1914) this Sunday having last won in 2002 in defeating Moyle Rovers on a score li ne Fethard 0-13 Moyle Rovers 0-8. With ten of that first fi fleen avai lable and a lot of young talcnt coming through the number gamc on Su nday should be okay, but not having played Commercials in a final si nce the Munster League Fi nal of 1999 (Commercials Winni ng) they are an unknown quantity and will be very much respected for reaching this final with very impressive displays. We wi ll have to call on all our experience to be able to beat Commercials as Fethard has always brought the best Ollt of Clonme! Commercials. the incentive being a Semi Final Spot in the County. Fcthards path to the final was in the first round, Fethard 2-23 Carrick Swans 1-4, in the quarter final Fethard. 3-19 Mullinahone 0-4. in the Semi Final we made hard work in advancing on a score line. Fethard 0-9 Cahir 0-8. to reach the final for the first time since 2002. Lets hope our young boys will bring back the 0 Shea Cup to the Friary Town on Sunday evening and in so doing make it two Tilles in 2000.s to add to the three in the nineties, the four in the eighties and the three in the Seventies.
