An Emmy nominated basketball analyst, Jay Bilas provides courtside and studio commentary for ESPN and CBS Sports. As co-host of ESPN’s College GameDay, College Gamenight and CBS Sports’ coverage of the NCAA Tournament, Bilas is well-known for his basketball knowledge, player evaluation and analysis. Sports Illustrated has called Bilas the best college basketball analyst in the country. While an active litigator with Moore & Van Allen, Bilas delivered similar high-powered performances in the courtroom. A former professional basketball player, he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 1986 and played three seasons in Italy and Spain. As a four-year starter at Duke University (1983-1986) under Mike Krzyzewski, he helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA Final Four and National Championship Game in 1986 with a record of 37-3.

THE HON. NICHOLAS KASIRER JUSTICE, QUÉBEC COURT OF APPEAL MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC The Honourable Nicholas Kasirer has been a puisne judge of the Québec Court of Appeal since 2009. From 2003 to 2009, he was James McGill Professor of Law at McGill University and Director of the Québec Centre for Private and Comparative Law at McGill where he also served as Dean of Law. A former law clerk for the Honourable Jean Beetz of the , he was sworn in as a member of the Bar of Québec in 1987. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, McGill University, the Université de Paris I and received a doctorate honoris causa from the Université de Sherbrooke. He is the author or editor, alone or with others, of more than a dozen books, including the Private Law Dictionary (multiple editions), Ju- rilinguistics – La jurilinguistique the Civil Code of Québec: Bilingual Edition, Le droit civil, avant tout un style, etc., as well as many articles and notes in collections and periodicals. Justice Kasirer teaches in the Seminar for Newly Appointed Federal Judges; he serves as Vice President of the Conférence des juges des cours supérieures du Québec; Trustee, Rue St Jean Foundation for Legal Research (Canadian Bar); and of editorial boards of the Revue du Notariat; Revue internationale de droit comparé (Paris); Revue de droit de l’Université de Sherbrooke; Journal of Civil Law Studies (Louisiana). The Right Honourable Lord Robert Reed was educated at the Universities of Edinburgh and Oxford. He prac- ticed at the Bar between 1983 and 1998, doing a wide range of civil work, much of it for the British Govern- ment, which he represented in domestic and international courts. He spent his last three years in practice as a senior prosecutor, when he worked with lawyers from the U.S. State Department and the Department of Justice on the arrangements which led to the Lockerbie trial. He was appointed as a judge in Scotland in 1998, and in 2011 was appointed as a Justice of the UK Supreme Court. Lord Reed has been involved in international legal relations. He is a member of the panel of ad hoc judges of the European Court of Human Rights, where he sits from time to time, and is a non-per- manent judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. He has also served as an expert advisor to the EU/Council of Europe Joint Ini- tiative with Turkey on Democratisation and Human Rights, Chairman of the Franco-British Judicial Co-operation Committee, President of the EU Forum of Judges for the Environment, and member of the UN Task Force on Access to Justice under the Aarhus Convention. THE HON. CHRYSTIA FREELAND, PC MP MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF CANADA OTTAWA, ONTARIO

The Honourable Chrystia Freeland was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Toronto Centre in a by-election in November 2013 and then re-elected in October 2015 as the Member of Parliament for University–Rosedale. Between November 2015 and January 2017, she served as Canada’s 18th Minister of International Trade before being appointed as the Minister of Foreign Af- fairs in January 2017. An esteemed journalist and author, she received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University before continuing her studies on a Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford. After working a Ukraine-based stringer for the Financial Times, The Washington Post and The Economist, Ms. Freeland took on many roles at the Financial Times, including U.K. news editor, Moscow bureau chief, Eastern Europe correspondent, editor of the FT Weekend Magazine and editor of FT.com. Tour of Montmorency Falls & Tour of Ile d’Orleans Native Americans lived on the Island of Orleans long before Jacques Cartier set foot on it in 1535 and named it in honour of the Duke of Orleans, son of François I, the king of France. Starting in 1650, the French slowly settled the island, introducing the feudal (seigneurial) system, which encouraged the development of agriculture and intro-duced cottage industries.
