DISTRICT GOVERNOR Talk about electrifying energy, the afternoon of January 18 in the mess hall at the Brandon Airport where many Journey for Sight riders and their support contingents gathered. What an awesome afternoon to hear about their trips from various parts LLOYD MCCABE of our great District of 5M13 all in support of the Lions Eye Bank of Manitoba and N.W. Ontario.

Riders who began their trip the beginning of the week as far north as Th ompson and Snow Lake with many stops along the way being hosted by various Lions Clubs. One group travelled the west side of the park with another group travelling down the east side. Riders also ended up in Brandon from the southern parts of 5M13 and I understand that Morden Lions hosted a contingent. Did they have fun, absolutely and all Lions thank them for their generous donations and commitment.

It is important that many of these riders are not Lions but willingly commit their time to the support of this very worthy project. All fi nished the afternoon off with a hot lunch hosted by the Brandon Wheat City Lions assisted by the Brandon Keystone Lions.
