Asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, and concrete curbing improvements will be performed. The outside (right) lane of eastbound traffic on College Parkway will be subject to daytime lane closures, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. Irving Ave N & 5th St W, Lehigh Acres (ROW2020-00452): Thompkins Contracting Inc. will be performing roadway improvements and paving beginning Tuesday, October 13, 2020 and continuing through Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbing, and drainage improvements will be performed. Motorists are urged to use caution, as periodic lane closures for southbound and northbound lanes on Irving Avenue will occur from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Acme Barricades will provide maintenance of traffic services (239) 479-5266. Will be installing a new drainage system, drainage pipes and culverts, across McGregor Blvd., beginning Monday, October 12, 2020 and continuing through Friday, October 16, 2020. The road at McGregor Blvd will be closed for through traffic, local traffic only will be allowed. There will be road closure/detour signs and barrels to direct traffic around the work area. Roadwatch Report October 8 – October 14, 2020 Motorists - Please use caution when traveling in work zone areas SR 867/McGregor Boulevard from Dean Way to River Palm Court: Florida Department of Transportation Construction Project: Crews will be installing new drainage on the east side of SR 867/McGregor Boulevard from Dean Way to River Palm Court and on the east side of Shaddelee Lane W. • Motorists should expect Shaddelee Lane W. closed though early October 2020. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway. • Motorists should expect McGgregor Boulevard closed from Monday, October 12 through Thursday, October 15. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway. Lane closures will occur during nighttime/overnight hours from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling in this area. SR 867/McGregor Boulevard Closed from Winkler Road to Dean Way, Fort Myers: SR 867/McGregor Boulevard will be closed from Winkler Road to Dean Way in Lee County from 6 a.m. Monday, October 12 through 7 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 for crews to install drainage structures underneath the road, weather permitting. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway. The detour to College Parkway and Winkler Road is shown in the map below. McGregor Boulevard will remain open to local traffic only. Roadwatch Report October 8 – October 14, 2020 Motorists - Please use caution when traveling in work zone areas This work is being conducted as part of the SR 867/McGregor Boulevard drainage project from Dean Way to River Palm Court. The project improvements include installing drainage structures throughout the project limits. The expected completion time is the beginning of the year 2021. Sanibel Causeway Bridge: On Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, 14, 2020, Lee County will inspect the Sanibel Causeway Bridge Structure A over San Carlos Bay. All the work will be performed over the bridge on a snooper truck. During this period, Lee County will do several lane shifts to accommodate the snooper truck and the bridge's inspection equipment on the required locations. Traffic will be slowed down. Rippe Parkway Overpass: The week of Monday, October 12, 2020 through Friday, October 16, 2020: Lee County DOT Traffic will be performing street lighting maintenance on Michael G. Rippe Parkway overpass. Motorists should use caution, as there will be intermittent lane closures in the outside lanes from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Summerlin Road & San Carlos Boulevard: On Saturday, October 10, 2020, Saturday, October 17, 2020, and Saturday, October 24, 2020, Lee County DOT Traffic will be performing street lighting maintenance at the following locations: • On Summerlin Road between Pine Ridge Road and San Carlos Boulevard. Motorists should use caution, as there will be intermittent lane closures in the eastbound and westbound outside lanes from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. • On Summerlin Road westbound off-ramp to San Carlos Boulevard. Traffic Signal Maintenance: Wednesday, October 14, 2020: Lee County DOT Traffic, along with a contractor, will be making improvements to the signal at McGregor Blvd. and Winkler Road from 9am to 4pm. While work is being performed, the signal will be dark (not operating). Law enforcement will be on-site directing traffic. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use extra caution in this area.
