Five World Hall of Famers, 14 PGA TOUR Major Winners Confirmed for 2021 presented by Suncor —, , , Jose Maria Olazabal and amongst legendary names teeing it up in

CALGARY—Five Members have booked their tickets for the 2021 Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor set to take place at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, August 11-15.

The stellar international group of golf greats includes Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Vijay Singh. Colin Montgomerie, who was tops on the European Order of Merit eight times and has never lost a match in his eight appearances on the European Team at the , rounds out the contingent of Hall of Famers who will headline another star-studded field that is taking shape in Calgary.

The marquee group of five have racked up golf’s silverwear around the globe including: major championships, Ryder Cups, Presidents Cups, and countless tournaments on the PGA TOUR, European Tour, and on the PGA TOUR Champions.

“This incredible group have delivered countless memorable moments in our game throughout their illustrious careers and I know are determined to put on another great show in Calgary,” said Sean Van Kesteren, executive director, Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor. “They rekindle these special moments for all of our spectators, but equally as important, they create new memories for young golf fans who take our event in each year.”

The Hall of Famers will tee it up with 10 other major winners who will bring with them seven Green Jackets; five U.S. Opens; two Claret Jugs; and six Wanamaker Trophies to this year’s Calgary stop on the PGA TOUR Champions.

The impressive list includes: (1996 PGA Championship); (2011 British Open); Retief Goosen (2004, 2001 U.S. Open); (1998, 1993 U.S. Open); Bernhard Langer (1993, 1985 Masters); (1996 British Open); (2003 PGA Championship); (1987 Masters); Jose Maria Olazabal (1999, 1994 Masters); (1995 U.S. Open); Vijay Singh (2000 Masters, 2004, 1998 PGA Championship); (1988 PGA Championship); (2001 PGA Championship); and (2003 Masters).

“It will be very special for our Tournament to safely return to the tee with the very impressive field that is taking shape including legendary names,” added Van Kesteren. “With just two weeks to go, the players in our field already represent everything in the world of golf. It includes Hall of Famers; PGA TOUR major winners; 17 PGA TOUR Champions major winners; 56 players who have won more than 265 times on the PGA TOUR; and 48 players who bring 191 PGA TOUR Champions titles.”

The lineup of professionals in 2021 also showcases four of the tournament’s previous winners including: Wes Short Jr. (2019); (2016); (2015); and (2013).

Calgarians will have an exclusive opportunity to watch 81 golf greats in August. The Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor will allow just 2,000 spectators each day for tournament round play, August 13-15, to ensure a safe return of the event. The limited number of Premium Pass tickets – which include all- inclusive food and beverage, access to the grounds, three open-air hospitality venues, refreshment stations, and front row access to the golf action – are available for $225/ticket (+GST). Junior Passes (for those aged 17 and under) will be available for purchase for $20/ticket (+GST) and must be purchased along with a regular Premium Pass. This year’s Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor week will include hosting Blakes Women’s Day, August 9, and the RBC Championship Pro-Am, August 11-12, followed by three rounds of tournament play, August 13-15, where Wes Short Jr. will defend his 2019 title. Spectators will NOT be allowed on- site for Women’s Day or Pro-Am rounds.

About the Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor The Shaw Charity Classic presented by Suncor will host some of the greatest names in the game of golf in Calgary at the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, August 11-15, 2021.
