Current Assignment I am currently an Assistant Professor in Practice in the Department of Organization and School Leadership in the College of Education and member of the graduate faculty at UTRGV. I am also Coordinator for both the Superintendent Certification Program and the Principal Stand Alone Program and teach graduate level Principal and Superintendent courses for in the Organization and School Leadership Department.

4 Student Advisement 1. I will continue to keep five office hours a week plus three hours by appointment for scheduled meetings with students during the regular semester. Additionally, I welcome students to contact me at any time between semesters with advising questions. This is usually done via email, cell phone, and face to face appointments are scheduled as needed.

2. I will continue to advise students in the EDUL Principal Leadership Program throughout the school year. 3. I will continue to advise Superintendent students in the following program area:  Superintendent Certification: I am currently the lead advisor for the Superintendent’s Program and advise all candidates for the Superintendent’s Certification. 4. I will accompany the Graduate Office on School of Education recruitment visits to local school districts on behalf of the EDUL program and participate in the Graduate School recruitment fair when requested.

TExES and Comprehensive Exam Preparation I will continue to conduct at least one TExES Principal and Superintendent Exam Review sessions per semester for the EDUL program. On the average, about twenty five Principal candidates attend the sessions. A presentation agenda has been developed and a notebook of materials assembled and used by EDUL Faculty to deliver the TExES Review Sessions for all students attending.

When needed, I will assist in proctoring EDUL students when taking their Master and Doctoral Level Comps. I will also assist in scoring the EDUL Master and Doctoral Level Comps when completed.
