Under the visionary guidance of its Co-Chairman & Chief Mentor, Mr. Rana Kapoor, MD & CEO, YES BANK, the Foundation follows a differentiated approach focusing on stimulating entrepreneurship and innovative use of media initiatives, to bridge gaps and act as a force multiplier towards empowered and equitable India. The Foundation currently has the following programs – YES! i am the CHANGE, YES FOUNDATION Media for Social Change Fellowship, YES FOUNDATION Social Film Grant, YES Responsible Youth Citizenship and YES Enabler. YES FOUNDATION Media for Social Change Fellowship is a high impact program to develop socially conscious youth leadership in association with ISDI-WPP School of Communication and supported by International Advertising Asso- ciation, India Chapter and YES BANK.

OBJECTIVE

Develop socially conscious youth leadership through exposure to social issues and credible NGOs Strengthen communication efforts of NGOs and maximise their social impact

The 2-month Fellowship provides high potential youth (18-25 years) an opportunity for intensive and sustained engagement with social issues through regular capacity building trainings and structured placement with credible NGOs. The Fellows are trained by industry leaders in a 1-week intensive, Induction training on marketing, communications, digital and social media. This is followed by a 7-week, full-time placement in NGOs where Fellows lead well-defined communication projects, interspersed with fortnightly training and mentoring by distinguished external experts and senior professionals in the NGO. Participation in the Fellowship hones the leadership skills of the youth and is a stepping stone towards their professional careers. Most importantly, exposure to social issues sensitises the youth and enables them to emerge as social leaders. In 2016, the inaugural edition, 45 youth were selected to be a part of the Fellowship cohort from 922 aspirants across 166 cities and towns pan-India. They were placed with 19 credible NGOs, across Mumbai. In 2017, the second edition of the Fellowship will be scaled to 200 Fellows placed with 50 partner NGOs across Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
