Directions to Commemorative Kiosks

Ashokan Ulster County (Marbletown/Hurley Town Line) Location: Parking area known as the "Frying Pan," on NYC land off Route 28A Directions: Exit 19 of NYS Thruway, take Route 28 west (toward Pine Hill). 15 miles to Winchell’s Corners (Winchell’s Pizza, Moose Crossing store and old church at intersection). Turn left on Reservoir Road (right if you are coming from the west on Route 28), cross bridge over reservoir, turn left on Monument Road, bear left at fork onto Route 28A. Proceed 1 mile, look for small sign indicating Frying Pan access road on left. Kiosk is in grassy circle at the Frying Pan parking area.

Schoharie Reservoir Schoharie County (Town of Gilboa) Location: At Gilboa Dam overlook, NYS Route 990V Directions: Take NYS Route 30: From the north, 18 miles south of Middleburgh, past Max Shaul State Park, NYS Power Authority Visitors’ Center and Minekill State Park. From the south: 21 miles north of Margaretville. Turn onto Route 990V at sign that says "Gilboa, 1 mile." Go past Gilboa Town Highway Department, Town Hall and Gilboa-Conesville Central School entrance. Dam overlook, parking area and kiosk on right.

Rondout Reservoir Ulster/Sullivan County line (Wawarsing/Neversink Town line) Location: NYS Route 55, 4 miles east of Grahamsville. Parking area overlooking the reservoir. Directions: From the East: Exit 19 of NYS Thruway at Kingston, take Route 209 south; or from Exit 18 at New Paltz, follow Route 299 west to Route 209. Pick up Route 55 west below Napanoch. Go approximately 10 miles. Kiosk is in parking area on right, adjacent to reservoir. From the South: Take Exit 113 of Route 17 (Quickway, Future I-86) at Wurtsboro. Take Route 209 north approximately 16 miles to Route 55 west. From the North: NYS Route 28, approximately 35 miles west of Kingston, take Ulster County Route 47 (Big Indian-Oliverea Road). Go approximately 15 miles. Bear right at Co. Rte. 19 (Claryville Road), continue to intersection with Route 55. Right for Neversink kiosk; left for Rondout kiosk.

Neversink Reservoir Sullivan County (Town of Neversink) Location: NYS Route 55, west end of Neversink Dam, 6 miles west of Grahamsville Directions: From East and South: Proceed as for , continue west another 12 miles on Route 55 past Rondout Reservoir kiosk. Cross Neversink Dam, kiosk is in parking lot on left side of the road just across the dam. From the West: Take Exit 100 of Route 17 (Quickway, Future I-86) at Liberty. Follow Route 55 approximately 4 miles to kiosk site (on left, before Neversink Dam). From the North: NYS Route 28, approximately 35 miles west of Kingston, take Ulster County Route 47 (Big Indian-Oliverea Road). Go approximately 15 miles. Bear right at Co. Rte. 19 (Claryville Road), continue to intersection with Route 55. Right for Neversink kiosk; left for Rondout kiosk.

Pepacton Reservoir Delaware County (Town of Andes) Location: NYS Route 30, south end of Shavertown Bridge, 10 miles southwest of Margaretville. Directions: From the North (Schoharie/Delaware Counties), follow Route 30 South to Margaretville. Route 30 and NYS Route 28 join for three miles west of Margaretville. Turn left on Route 30 when the two routes split. 10 miles to Shavertown Bridge (only crossing of the ). Kiosk is in parking lot on far end of the bridge. From the West: Take Exit 90 of NYS Route 17 (Quickway, Future I-86) at East Branch. Follow Route 30 north approximately 27 miles to Pepacton kiosk, in parking lot on left side of road, just before the Shavertown Bridge. Delaware County (Town of Tompkins) Location: NYS Route 10, just west of Sands Creek Road and the Cannonsville Bridge. Directions: From the East: Take Exit 84 of NYS Route 17 (Quickway, Future I-86) at Deposit. Follow Route 10 east 8 miles to large parking area on left. From the South: Take Exit 87 of NYS Route 17 at Hancock, follow Delaware County Route 67 (Sands Creek Road) 9 miles north to Route 10. Left on Route 10, kiosk in parking area on right. From the North: Exit Interstate 88 at Sidney onto NYS Route 8. Follow Route 8 south approximately 14 miles to Route 10. Left on Route 10 about 5 miles to kiosk on left.
