To attendees of the ARLIS/SE conference in Sarasota:

We will have a table set up for registration and information in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday, Nov. 5th. You can also register on Thursday, Nov. 6th in the Ringling Museum Library after the Cà d’Zan tour.

Wednesday, Nov. 5th – Historic Asolo Theater * at The Ringling Museum of Art

6:00-8:00 7:00-9:00 pm Lecture/book signing by Dave Isay, founder of StoryCorps, author of Listening is an act of love at the Historic Asolo Theater at the Ringling Museum of Art.

Thursday, Nov. 6th–Ringling Museum of Art *

8:30-9:00 am Registration/light breakfast, Cà d’Zan terrace (weather permitting).

9:00-10:30 9:00-11:00 am Tour: Private tour of Cà d’Zan, the Ringling Mansion with Ron McCarty, Keeper of Cà d’Zan.

11:00-11:30 am Tour of the new Ringling Museum Library, Linda McKee and Artis Wick.

11:30-12:30 Lunch compliments of the Ringling Museum Library.

1:00-2:30 1:00-2:30 pm Talk/book signing by , author of Florida based novels such as: Atomic Lobster: A novel, Hurricane Punch, The Big Bamboo, Orange Crush and Triggerfish Twist. 3:00-4:00 pm Presentation: Françoise Hack, Head Registrar, Ringling Museum of Art.

6:00-8:30 pm Dinner at Treviso, at own expense, at the Ringling Museum’s new restaurant.

Friday, Nov. 7th- Ringling College of Art and Design *

8:00 am Kimbrough Library open.

8:45-9:45 am Light breakfast and Poster Presentation, Kimbrough Library

Poster Presentation. Peer to Peer Research Consultants at the Undergraduate Art and Design Library. Presented by Sarah Carter, Instruction and Research Services Librarian, Ringling College of Art and Design.

10:00-10:30 9:45-10:00 am Welcome by Kathleen List, Ringling College Library Director.

10:30-11:45 10:00-11:15 am Presentation: Elizabeth Russell, “Art Law” columnist for Art Calendar magazine, musician, and attorney speaking on “Intellectual Property Issues for Artists and Designers.”

11:30-12:30 pm Welcome by Ringling College President, Larry Thompson. Lunch on campus, compliments of the College. Location: Roskamp 1.

1:00-2:00 1:00-2:00 pm Presentation: George Pratt, Ringling College Instructor, Illustration Department, and Illustrator, speaking on “Illustration: from idea to research to finished work.” Location: Selby Lecture Hall.

2:00-3:00 p 2:00-3:00p.m. Tour of campus facilities, including animation department, Student Center, Selby Gallery and displays of student and alumni work. 3:00-4:30 pm Chapter business meeting and LoPresti raffle, Kimbrough Library. Refreshments will be served.

6:00-9:00 pm First Friday Artwalk: downtown Sarasota. Dinner on Main Street.

Saturday, Nov. 8th – Ringling Museum of Art *

9:00-9:30 am Coffee/light breakfast at the Ringling Museum Library.

9:30-11:00 am Presentation: Marcella Estevez, Book and Paper Preservation professional.

11:15-12:30 Tour of The Ringling Museum of Art Gallery special exhibition, To Live Forever: Egyptian Art from The Brooklyn Museum with Maureen Zaremba, Associate Curator of Education, Ringling Museum of Art.

12:30-1:30 pm Lunch on your own (Banyan Restaurant).
