That said, no matter how difficult things get in Gotham, these detectives never give up and that goes a long way to making them more endearing. But aside from that complaint you have amazing art from Lark and great stories by Brubaker and Rucka. This is a very clever series, able to mix in classic Batman villains while keeping the actual Batman appearances to a minimum. That's such a great touch of bureaucratic and legal tomfoolery that it makes Gotham feel that much more real.
