CONDITION OF ENTRY The driver of any vehicle on the Show Ground must hold a valid driving licence applicable to that vehicle and must also have minimum insurance for that vehicle as required by the Road Traffic Act.

The Chipping Steam Fair Committee reserves the right to refuse admission to any exhibitor. ENTRY NUMBER

Declaration: I declare that during the whole period of the event my entry will be covered by Public Liability Insurance of no less than £2,000,000 (including boiler explosions on the steam exhibits). To be retained by the Exhibitor 2 wrist bands will be issued with each entry & must be worn on arrival. Additional wrist bands must be applied for with this application. Visitors & guests must pay gate prices. 1. ALL WORKING EXHIBITS MUST BE INSURED FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY OF AT LEAST £2,000,000. Failure to produce evidence of such cover will result in immediate exclusion from the Show Ground. 2. Entry Numbers must be displayed on the driver’s side of the windscreen. 3. Caravan passes must be displayed in caravan prior to entering the show field. 4. Caravans will be parked under instruction and if necessary positioned by the Steward. 5. Canopies / Awnings / Gazebo’s will only be allowed for stalls and displays. 6. Exhibits must be in a safe condition whether in operation or not. 7. Vehicles must be in full working order (i.e. must be able to be driven under their own power) 8. Stationary Engines and Machinery must be at least six feet behind a barrier. 9. Tractors will carry only one person regardless of the type of seating fitted. 10. Steam vehicles will carry a maximum of two people unless specifically fitted otherwise. 11. No one will be carried other than in the passenger space of a commercial vehicle. 12. Boiler Inspection Certificates must be brought to the event. Failure to produce these on request will result in immediate exclusion from the Show Ground. 13. Passengers may be carried on Motor Cycles only if a proper seat and footrests are fitted and used. 14. Exhibitors are required to be present no later than 9.30 a.m. on each day of attendance. 15. To drive any vehicle on the show ground you must have a current valid driving licence covering the category/class of vehicle you are driving (and must be shown on request). 16. A speed limit of 5mph will apply on the Show Ground. 17. All equipment fitted to the electricity supply must be wired and fused in accordance with the Electricity Regulations. 18. Due to health and safety regulations all portable appliances and extension leads must have a current annual test certificate of safety. Health and Safety officer Richard Calvert. 19. Portable Generators – To have residual circuit breakers and earth rods. 20. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. 21. For public safety no vehicle movement on the field between 10 a.m. & 4.30 p.m. unless escorted by a steward. 22. Late arrivals after 10 a.m. will be held in a designated area awaiting the arrival of the appropriate steward.

N.B. Water points plus a Toilet Block and Sluice facilities are available on the Show Ground. Complimentary Coal and Engine Water will be supplied for Steam Exhibits whilst on the field.
