Swiss Beach Soccer National Team Information for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup from the 27th april to 7th may 2017 in Nassau, Bahamas. This is the 4th participation for the Swiss Beach Soccer Nationalteam at a FIFA World Cup after 2009, 2011 and 2015. The biggest success was at the 1st participation 2009 when the Swiss team reached the final against Brazil. Swiss Beach Soccer was founded 2001 by Coach Angelo Schirinzi and CEO Reto Wenger, in the same year the national team take part at the European Championship in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. The 1st qualifi- cation tournament for a World Cup Switzerland played 2004 in Rio de Janeiro. The history of the Swiss Beach Soccer Nationalteam 2005 European champion in Moscow 2008 Finalist European Championship in Baku 2009 Finalist European Championship in Rome Finalist World Cup in Dubai 2012 3rd place European Championship in Moscow Winner oft the Euro-Beach-Soccer-League-Superfinal in Den Haag 2014 Finalist European Championship in Baku 2015 4th place European Games in Baku Quarterfinalist World Cup in Espinho European Qualifiers 2016 The European Qualifiers were played in September 2016 in Jesolo, Italy. 2020 INTERNATIONAL SPORTS FEDERATIONS SOCIAL MEDIA RANKING #IFRANKING SOCIAL MEDIA FROM SIDE STAGE TO MAIN STAGE Burson Cohn & Wolfe Sports (BCW Sports) is pleased to publish the 2020 International Sports Federations Social Media Ranking. Published for the fourth year in a row, this ranking aims to capture the social media footprint of international sports federations and provide insightful takeaways of how different content leads to different outcomes. 2020 has been a year unlike any other for sports federations. Despite setback after setback, with cancellations and postponements of sporting events around the world, the year has been revolutionary for the whole sports industry. Since matches and tournaments were not taking place, sports fans had to look for other channels of engagement. They found what they were looking for on social media. This year’s ranking, as per previous years, includes international sports federations (IFs) from both the Winter and Summer Olympic programmes. In addition, for the first time, non-Olympic IFs have also been included. This should serve to increase the comparative and informative value of the IF Ranking. TO THE MEMBERS OF FIFA Cireular no. 1316 Zurich, 9 August 2012 DSG/mfa/ial Bidding for FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 and FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 Dear Sir or Madam, FIFA is pleased to open the bidding for the following FIFA World Cups: • FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 • FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 We invite all member associations to join the bidding proeess by completing and submitting the attached Declaration of Interest form. As you review the information, please bear in mind that while you may bid for more than one event, FIFA will only award one event per bidding association . FIFA World Cups open for bidding: FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 This World Cup is held every two years and 2015 will be the eighth edition. 16 teams will participate in the final competition and one stadium will be required. The duration of the competition is approximately ten to 12 days. The loeation of the venue should reflect the sun, sea and sand of the Copaeabana beach, the birthplace of beach soccer. FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 This World Cup is held every four years and 2016 will be the eighth edition. 24 teams will participate in the final competition and as a result, three to six stadiums that fulfil FIFA's specifications will be required. The duration of the competition is approximately three weeks and is expected to take place between October and November. General Guidelines for Spring Sports Beach Volleyball Lacrosse (Var.) Softball (Var., JV., Frosh) Tennis (JV., Var.) The following are the guidelines for Xavier home games/matches. We ask that all attending will adhere to all guidelines. 1. Only 3 guests (home/visitors) per athlete will be permitted entry into Xavier facilities. 2. Xavier requires ALL guests entering the school to wear facemasks and social distance. Face coverings/masks will be required at all times. Masks must cover the nose and mouth completely. 3. Please maintain social distancing of 6 feet at all times. 4. Sanitizing stations will be available for athletes and spectators. 5. No food or drink will be permitted into the facilities other than bottled water. 6. Once the game/match has ended Xavier asks that you exit the facilities Restrooms will be available Concession stands will not be available Beach: • Matches are played on the Cavanaugh Family Beach Courts • Xavier suggests that you bring your own chair(s) for the match • Parking is located in the Founders Hall parking lot on campus Lacrosse/Softball • Games are played on Petznick Field • Bleachers are covered and have backs • Spectators are not allowed on the playing field at any time including after the game • Parking is located in the Founders Hall parking lot on campus Tennis • Matches are played on the Stark Tennis Courts • Restrooms are located near courts • Xavier suggests that you bring your own chair(s) for the match • Spectators are not allowed on the courts at any time including after the matches • Parking is located in the Founders Hall parking lot on campus Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in removal from the event Our main concern is the safety and health of all involved. -
