Divine Mercy and St. Maria Faustina Kowalska

On February 22, 1931, when Sister Faustina was in her cell, the Lord appeared clothed in a white garment. One hand was raised in the gesture of blessing, the other was touching the garment at the breast. From beneath the Giuseppe Paciullo and Lauren Brockler garment, there were emanating two large rays, one red and the other pale. Jesus told Sister Faustina to “Paint an imagine according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus, I trust in You.. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and then throughout the world. I promise that the soul that will venerate this image Our Week 13, 200 Club winners were pulled by will not perish. I also promise victory over enemies Fr. Schrader. already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will defend it as my own glory.” $30 Ann Schaut “ I desire that this image be solemnly blessed on the $25 Lisa Lyons first Sunday after Easter; that Sunday is to be the Feast of $15 Gloria Marlett Mercy.” $10 Augie Misiurewicz

Diary of Maria Faustina Kowalska, p. 24 Congratulations!

On January 2, 1934, Sister Faustina commissioned Eugene Kazimierowski to paint the Image. The painting was completed in June 1934 and placed in the covent. Next week we will take up the Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. This collection supports the Church in more than 20 countries that are still struggling to recover in the aftermath of communist rule. Funds from this collection support pastoral care, catechesis, building renovations, and seminary formation. Your support restores the Church and builds the future in this region. Please prayerfully consider how you can support the collection next week. More information can be found at www.usccb.org/ccee.
