3 NHS Funding Bill: Presentation (Standing Orders No. 50 and No. 57) Secretary Matt Hancock, supported by the Prime Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Secretary , Secretary Thérèse Coffey, Secretary and Edward Argar, presented a Bill to make provision regarding the funding of the health service in in respect of each financial year until the financial year that ends with 31 March 2024. Bill read the first time; to be read a second time tomorrow, and to be printed (Bill 6) with Explanatory Notes (Bill 6–EN).

4 Queen’s Speech (Motion for an Address) (fourth day) Debate resumed (Order, 14 January). The Speaker has certified, under the terms of the temporary Standing Order on voting by proxy for parental absence and the Resolution of the House of 28 January 2019, that Greg Smith is eligible to have a proxy vote cast on his behalf, starting from 16 January 2020 and finishing on 29 January 2020. The nominated proxy is Mr John Whittingdale.
