OCT. 3, 2020 • ATTENDANCE: 5306 Team Notes • Army won the toss and elected to defer. • RB Cade Barnard carried out the Brotherhood Flag as the Black Knights ran out onto the field. • This was the first all-time meeting between the two schools. • Army had two 100-yard rushers in QB Jemel Jones and RB Tyrell Robinson, marking the first time since Oct. 14, 2017 that the Cadets had multiple 100-yard rushers when Ahmad Bradshaw and Kell Walker did so. • Dating back to last season against Hawai’i, Army has scored first in six consecutive games. • The Black Knights have scored a on their first offensive drive three times this season. • Army’s defense had a total of eight tackles behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of 40 yards. • The Black Knights had their first sucessful onside kick attempt since Oct. 21, 2017, when Army recovered one against Temple. • The Cadets amassed 441 rushing yards, marking its highest total of the season. • Army’s 493 yards of total offense was also its highest output of the season. Individual Notes • QB Jemel Jones eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark on a 49-yard rushing touchdown. He finished the day with 138 rushing yards and two on 14 attempts. • This was Jones’ first 100-yard rushing game. He is the ninth quarterback to record a 100-yard rushing game in the Jeff Monken era, joining Christian Anderson, Jabari Laws, Kelvin Hopkins, Cam Thomas, Ahmad Brad- shaw, AJ Schurr, Chris Carter and Angel Santiago. • Jones threw for his first career passing touchdown when he connected with WR Michael Roberts on 33- yard reception. The play paired as Roberts’ first career receiving touchdown. • RB Tyrell Robinson became just the 15th player in program history have a 100-yard game with seven or fewer rushing attempts. • Robinson finished with 126 rushing yards on just seven carries, good for an average of 18 yards per carry, which is the 11th best average in a 100-yard rushing game in program history. • On the season, Robinson is averaging 12.7 yards per carry with 253 yards on just 20 rushing attempts. • DB Marquel Broughton and LB Jon Rhattigan led the team with eight tackles apiece. Broughton is up to 25 tackles on the season, which is second on the team. Rhattigan leads the Cadets with 28. • DB Cedrick Cunningham Jr. matched his career high with 2.0 TFLs. • DB Jabari Moore had a career high six tackles and also had 2.0 TFLs. • RB Anthony Adkins recorded his first career multiple TD performance. He had 70 yards on 10 carries. • RB Sandon McCoy scored his fifth rushing TD of the season and the 15th of his career. He is 3 TDs shy of moving into 19th all-time. • K Landon Salyers was pure on a 43-yard attempt to mark a new career long. He is 3-for-3 on FG attempts this season. • RB Jakobi Buchanan found the for the third time this season on a three-yard rush. • K Quinn Maretzki split the uprights on a 40-yard field goal attempt to mark his first career made field goal. • LB Daryan McDonald notched his first career start. • WR Ryan Jackovic and LS Ryan Aguilar each made their first career appearances. • OL Cody Winokur saw his first action of the season.
